BLIGE WON’T COMMENT ON STEROID ALLEGATIONS
R&B superstar MARY J. BLIGE is refusing to comment on allegations she is involved in a steroid scandal - because she is constantly having to defend herself against false rumours.
The Without You singer was recently named alongside Wyclef Jean, 50 Cent, Timbaland and actor Tyler Perry in a report released by Albany County District Attorney David Soares, accusing the stars of ordering the drug or human growth hormones from doctors and pharmacists.
But Blige - who has battled drug and alcohol addictions in the past - won’t let gossip about her personal life affect her.
She tells MTV.com, "I really don’t want to clear anything up, because I’ve been spoken about for so many years - rumours I’m pregnant, I’m a man, I’m this, I’m that, why? At the end of the day, I have nothing to prove to anyone.
I am Mary and that’s that."
