WINEHOUSE’S DRUG USE INVESTIGATED BY POLICE
AMY WINEHOUSE is currently under investigation by British police to see if she violated any laws during her drugs binge last week which was videotaped by a U.K. tabloid.
The footage - which was published by The Sun on Tuesday (22Jan08) - was taken at Winehouse’s London apartment on Friday (18Jan08) and shows the singer snorting powdered ecstasy and lighting up a crack pipe.
And cops have now seized the video evidence to see if Winehouse will face any charges over the incident.
A spokesman for the Metropolitan police says, "Now we have received the information we will be viewing the footage to ascertain whether any action needs to be taken."
