LATEST: Disgraced British rocker GARY GLITTER was admitted to a Vietnamese hospital after suffering from diarrhoea and an irregular heart beat earlier this month (Jan08).
The 1970s star was first reported to have suffered a heart attack.
Glitter - real name Paul Gadd - is serving a three-year sentence after being convicted in 2006 of committing obscene acts with two Vietnamese girls, aged 11 and 12. He is due to be released in August (08).
Doctor Nguyen Thai Hoa confirms the singer was first transferred to the prison hospital on 4 January (08) because he was suffering from intestinal problems.
Glitter was then kept in for observation, when it was noticed he had an irregular heartbeat and was transferred to a nearby hospital.
