WEILAND MUSES ON STONE TEMPLE PILOTS REUNION
Cult rock group STONE TEMPLE PILOTS are set for a reunion, according to former frontman SCOTT WEILAND.
The Velvet Revolver star stunned fans during a solo appearance at a charity event in Florida on Saturday (19Jan08) when he revealed his thoughts from the stage.
His brief reunion promise follows comments Weiland made in a Washington Post interview last summer (07), when he revealed he was proud of the STP legacy, but felt there was more to come.
He told the Post, "We wanted to be played on rock radio for the next 20-30 years. That’s actually happening.
"The only thing that’s left unfinished is the completion of the story. I feel that there could be a better final chapter, a better bookend. If all the planets line up, you never know what might happen one day." Stone Temple Pilots officially split in 2003 after guitarist Dean DeLeo revealed, "It’s time to move on to other things. Life and personalities and brotherhood took its course."
