AGENT LIMATO SCRAPS FAMOUS PRE-OSCARS PARTY
Revered Hollywood agent ED LIMATO has pulled the plug on his annual pre-Oscars party out of respect for the striking writers.
While the Academy Awards organisers await a possible waiver from the Writers Guild Of America union bosses - before deciding whether to stage a full Oscars ceremony - Limato has decided his star-studded party won’t take place.
The top agent has staged his party on the Friday night before the Academy Awards for the past 20 years.
He tells Daily Variety, "After what has happened with this strike, with so much up in the air about the Oscars, and with so many people out of work, I just don’t feel like celebrating."
