NORAH JONES BANNED FROM TAKING ACTING COACHING
NORAH JONES was banned from taking acting lessons ahead of her movie debut in MY BLUEBERRY NIGHTS.
The singer was terrified about acting for the first time, but director Kar Wai Wong wanted to cash in on her inexperience.
She explains, "I found an acting coach and took a couple of lessons, and then I asked Kar Wai what I should start working on - you know, because I knew nothing about this character. And he said, ‘No, don’t take acting lessons. I want you to be natural.’ So I said, ‘Are you sure? Are you crazy? You’ve never seen me act."
