Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:32 pm

FOREST WHITAKER was delighted when he discovered his namesake, DENZEL WHITAKER, was playing his son in new movie THE GREAT DEBATERS - because he could finally dispel reports the young actor is related to him in real life.
The Oscar winner admits he has been unable to change internet sites which list Denzel as his real-life son.
He says, "On (Internet Movie Database website) IMDB.com they had put him down as my son at one point, although my son’s name is Ocean.
"I think they made that mistake because our names were the same and he was acting for a while. He was amazing in the movie so it’s totally natural he be confused for my son.
"Now I hope all the confusion has been cleared up."

STALLONE’S GIRL LOVES DALLAS RUMOURS

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:29 pm

SYLVESTER STALLONE’s new onscreen sidekick, JULIE BENZ, is thrilled she’s rumoured to be playing SUE ELLEN EWING in the much-anticipated DALLAS movie because she desperately wants the part.
The actress, who teams up with Stallone in Rambo, hopes movie executives are reading the online reports, because she wants to play the boozy socialite.
Benz says, "I grew up watching Dallas. I wanted to know who shot J.R.
(Ewing). I would love to play Sue Ellen, but it’s a rumour." If Benz lands the role in the movie adaptation of the cult soap series, she’ll take on the part Jennifer Lopez originally signed up for.
The Dallas project has been dogged with casting and directorial problems.
John Travolta, Matthew McConaughey and Meg Ryan were all attached to the film last year (07), but it appears none of these stars will be involved in the film.
Meanwhile, Bend It Like Beckham filmmaker Gurinder Chadha was initially involved in the film. Now, that role has been passed to Betty Thomas.

STALLONE WANTS RAMBO TO HIGHLIGHT BURMA’S TROUBLES

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:26 pm

SYLVESTER STALLONE is hoping his new RAMBO movie sheds light on the troubles raging in war ravaged Burma.
The movie was in production in the poverty-stricken south-east Asian country last year (06), when the military junta began carrying out attacks on monks protesting the current regime. It was the latest in a series of violent events in a country torn apart by civil war for decades.
Stallone was shocked by what he saw, and resolved to make the sequel as documentary-like as possible, to enlighten movie fans about the "real world".
He says, "Burma is the most savage, pumped up, brutal human rights violation in the world. Burma is the largest genocide in the world. The civil war’s been going on for 60 years. As we speak people are going through hell.
"And I thought, If I’m going to do an action film, I’d also like to do something that sheds light on it. A cross between an action film and something real."

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:26 pm

BRITNEY SPEARS has finally arrived at lawyer MARK VINCENT KAPLAN’s Los Angeles office for an ongoing deposition in her custody battle with ex-husband KEVIN FEDERLINE.

Spears has been stripped of all custody and visitation rights following a string of ill-advised incidents.
A custody trial is set for April (08).

"You’d think that the fact that you sell a lot of concert tickets, you’re on the Forbes (magazine) list and you’re the ninth most-visible person on TV would equate to having a presidential candidate reach out and have you campaign for them, especially in (heavy Latino areas) the Southwest (of America) or Los Angeles."

BUSH NURSES KNEE AFTER SNOWBOARDING ACCIDENT

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:20 pm

Actress SOPHIA BUSH is nursing a severely bruised knee after injuring herself snowboarding.
The One Tree Hill star, a newcomer to snowboarding, was holidaying in Whistler, Colorado earlier this month (Jan08) when she took on a slope way beyond her capabilities.
She says, "I’m learning to snowboard. I was prepared for the cold with all the layers (of clothing), but the layers didn’t help me so much when I ran into the mountain. I landed on part of my knee. I fell on Blackholm (Mountain).
"It was my own fault because I took a (skiing) lesson the first day and my instructor told me, ‘Don’t let your friends take you up the mountain tomorrow, because they’re going to try and take you down runs that you’re not ready for.’ "I went up to Whistler with a couple of guys from work - one of our stunt guys, Paul Johannson, and James Lafferty. And (reality TV star) Stephen Colletti was supposed to come with us, but he’d really hurt his shoulder the week before. So he’s going, ‘Be careful, it’s really icy because it’s so cold.
Don’t fall.’ "I’m like, ‘I’m not going to hurt myself!’ Cut to me laying in this pile on the mountain and I landed just on my knee.
"And I had all these little kids from ski school going by - and they’re four - and they’re shooting around me and I’m thinking, ‘This is so humiliating.’" But Bush is grateful that her injury is on the mend.
She adds, "Today’s the first day that I actually don’t have two knee caps (on one knee) and the bruising has gone down a lot."

NORRIS BLASTS ‘TOO OLD’ PRESIDENTIAL HOPEFUL McCAIN

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:20 pm

Veteran action man CHUCK NORRIS has hit out at Republican presidential candidate Senator JOHN McCAIN - insisting he’s too old to move into The White House.
The Missing In Action star, who is campaigning for fellow Republican candidate Mike Huckabee, claims American presidents age three times faster than the average person while in office.
And he took aim at 71-year-old McCain during a Huckabee fundraiser in Texas on Sunday (20Jan08).
He said, "Now I’m thinking if John takes over the presidency at 72, and if he ages three-to-one, how old will he be in four years? He’ll be 84 years old.
"Now can he handle that kind of pressure in that kind of job?" And the 67-year-old also slammed another Huckabee rival, Mitt Rooney.
Norris said, "I think he’s very shallow. I think everything he does is from the head. (He reads) a memorised script just like I do as an actor when I do a role. Nothing is coming from the heart."

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:17 pm
