JENSEN SHUNS ‘SIZE ZERO’ PRESSURE
UGLY BETTY star ASHLEY JENSEN refuses to starve herself to achieve a "size zero" body - because she places more importance on her health.
The Scottish actress - who first shot to prominence in Ricky Gervais sitcom Extras - is alarmed at the growing number of teenage girls who are undergoing surgical procedures to gain the same figures as their waif-like celebrity idols.
Jensen is determined to mainatin her shape for the good of her health - and to encouarge young fans to follow suit.
She says, "I feel a responsibility as a British actress not to do that whole size zero thing, because I think it is really dangerous.
"L.A. has become very warped and people are doing things like having Botox in their lunch hour. There’s young girls at the age of 13 having liposuction. I think that’s all a bit worrying."
