Pregnant HALLE BERRY has sealed her commitment to boyfriend GABRIEL AUBRY by accepting his gift of a $10,000 (£5,000) eternity ring.
The actress, 41, has previously revealed she has no desire to wed model Aubry after two failed marriages - first to former baseball player David Justice in 1992 and then to singer Eric Benet in 2001. Her second union ended in divorce in 2005.
But Berry has been happy to show off her Cartier paved diamond eternity platinum ring from Aubry, a present from the 32-year-old to celebrate the upcoming birth of their baby.
An insider tells American magazine In Touch Weekly they already think of themselves as a married couple, even without the legal document to prove it.
The source adds of the ring, "It’s gorgeous. The diamonds aren’t huge but they are perfectly cut and sparkle.
"Gabriel gave Halle the ring to symbolise their commitment." Berry, who is due to give birth in the spring (08), has been spotted flaunting her new piece of jewellery at a Cartier event in Los Angeles earlier this month (05Jan08).

Actress EMILY BLUNT was embarrassed to bare all in front of TOM HANKS for intimate scenes in their new film CHARLIE WILSON’S WAR - because he’s old enough to be her father.
Hanks, 51, plays womanising U.S. congressman Charlie Wilson in the political drama, while the Devil Wears Prada star, 24, portrays one of his love interests.
But Blunt admits she was put at ease by Hanks’ charm once the cameras started rolling.

Rapper Jay-Z - real name Shawn Carter - was said to have married the R&B beauty in a secret ceremony at designer Giorgio Armani’s mansion in Paris, France, last month (Dec07).

UGLY BETTY star ASHLEY JENSEN refuses to starve herself to achieve a "size zero" body - because she places more importance on her health.
The Scottish actress - who first shot to prominence in Ricky Gervais sitcom Extras - is alarmed at the growing number of teenage girls who are undergoing surgical procedures to gain the same figures as their waif-like celebrity idols.

Eccentric chess legend BOBBY FISCHER has died of suspected kidney failure at the age of 64.
The American-born former world champion passed away on Thursday (18Jan08) at his home in Iceland, a friend reveals.
Gardar Sverrisson says, "I can confirm that he died yesterday in his home due to an illness." Fischer, regarded by many as the greatest chess player of all time, made headlines after beating the reigning champion, Russia’s Boris Spassky, in a Cold War showdown in 1972.
He will be remembered for his theatrics, frequent outbursts during games, and his colourful life after retiring from chess.
He fled the U.S. in 1992 after breaking intenational sanctions by playing chess in the then-wartorn Yugoslavia.
He was arrested in Japan in 2004 while travelling with a revoked passport.
But before he could be deported to the U.S. to stand trial, the Icelandic government stepped in and offered him citizenship. He lived there until his death.

LOST star HAROLD PERRINEAU JR. is to become a father for the second time.

The strike - a bid by writers to secure better pay deals from movie and TV studios - has caused chaos in the entertainment world, grinding TV and movie production to a halt for more than two months.

Daredevil actor VIGGO MORTENSEN angered director ED HARRIS on the set of new movie APPALOOSA, by challenging a stuntman to a dangerous horseriding race.
After perfecting his equestrian skills on the set of movie Hidalgo, Mortensen dared a co-star to a race while standing on the horses’ saddles - and invited cast and crewmembers to bet on the outcome.
The Danish actor’s saddle slipped and he fell to the ground at high speed. He was unhurt, but Harris was furious his star risked his health, and yelled, "What the hell do you think you’re doing?" reports the National Enquirer.
Mortensen was banned from riding horses for the remainder of the shoot.

A recent tattoo sprawled across BRAD RENFRO’s back acts as a chilling indication of the tragic actor’s dark state of mind in the days leading up to his death.
The Apt Pupil star, 25, was found dead at his Los Angeles apartment on Tuesday (15Jan08) - and just days previously he’d entered a tattoo parlour to have the words ‘F*CK ALL Y’ALL’ inked into his skin.
Renfro - who shot to fame as a child actor in 1994 blockbuster The Client had a history of drug addiction and fell foul of police on numerous occasions.

MARLON BRANDO’s son CHRISTIAN has been admitted to the intensive care unit of a Los Angeles hospital for an unknown illness.
The 49-year-old was taken to Hollywood Presbyterian Hospital on 11 January (08), but his ailment has not been disclosed.
The son of the acting legend last hit the headlines in 2005, when he pleaded guilty to abusing his then-wife, Deborah Presley - who claims to be the illegitimate daughter of rocker Elvis Presley.
He was also imprisoned in the early 1990s following his conviction of voluntary manslaughter relating to the death of his half-sister’s boyfriend, Dag Drollet, in 1990. He was released from jail in 1996, according to TMZ.com.
Brando Snr. died in 2004, aged 80.

Music producer MARK RONSON hopes the lure of grape juice will be enough to persuade recovering alcoholic SLASH to collaborate with him.
Ronson, 32, is eager to make music with the former Guns N’ Roses hellraiser whom he dubs the "coolest person ever" - but realises a chat over a pint of beer would be wholly inappropriate.

Hip-hop mogul RUSSELL SIMMONS has donated more than $300,000 (£150,000) to an African empowerment charity.
The Def Jam Records co-founder presented a cheque for $311,535 (£155,767) made via his Simmons Jewelry Company - to executives of the Diamond Empowerment Fund (DEF) this week (ends18Jan08).
The DEF is an international non-profit organisation, also founded by Simmons, which aims to provide funding for education programmes designed to motivate Africans in countries where diamonds are a natural resource.
The donation is the amount raised so far by the sale of items from the Simmons Jewelry Green Initiative collection, which began last year (07).
Celebrities including Beyonce Knowles, Vanessa Hudgens and Mischa Barton have all been reported to be owners of the Green Initiative’s signature piece - a bracelet made from genuine green malachite beads and a rough diamond.

WYCLEF JEAN has vowed to reveal all about his life including his alleged role in a steroid scandal, as soon as the investigation proves him guilty or innocent.
Jean , Mary J. Blige, 50 Cent, Timbaland and actor Tyler Perry have been accused of ordering the drug or human growth hormones from doctors and pharmacists.
They were all named in a list released by Albany County District Attotney David Soares.
Blige has already attempted to distance herself from the allegations, and now Jean is promising to one day tell all.
He says, "It’s a big investigation. Once it’s sorted out, I’ll gladly talk about it."

Texan rapper BILLY KING has been arrested and charged with possession of ecstasy and intent to supply after a drug bust on Tuesday (15Jan08).
King, a member of local hip-hop group Bexar County Boyz, was taken into custody after police found more than 1,300 ecstasy tablets - with an estimated street value of $32,000 (£16,000) - in his apartment in San Antonio.
Authorities also confiscated $4,000 (£2,000) in cash and various equipment used in the drug operation during the sting.
King is currently being held along with another woman at Bexar County Jail on $30,000 (£15,000) bond, according to BallerStatus.net.

LATEST: Hip-hop star NATE DOGG has been left paralysed down one side of his body after suffering a mild stroke over the festive season.
The Next Episode singer - real name Nathaniel Hale, the cousin of Snoop Dogg - was admitted to Pomona Valley Hospital in California last month (Dec07) following the cerebrovascular accident at his home on 20 December (07).
But the illness has resulted in the 39-year-old being unable to move the left side of his body, and he is now recovering in an occupational rehab faclity.
His representative, Rod McGrew, tells MTV.com, "Time will tell everything, obviously
. The doctor can only guess what the outcome will be.
"But based on situations with similar people his age, and based on his health, the prognosis is good right now." According to McGrew, Hale did not suffer any brain damage from the stroke and his vocal chords have not been affected.
McGrew also took the opportunity to hit out at people who have made fun of the supposedly relaxed 911 call, which was posted on website TMZ.com earlier this week (ends18Jan08), adding: "I’m not sure what people are tying to glean from that tape
. The diagnosis is what it is, and the prognosis is what it is:
He had a stroke
. The media wants to create something, but I’m not sure what the point is
. If you had an emergency and someone was in your presence they would call 911.
"I’m not in a situation to see who is doing what, but rather tending to (Nate) and making sure he gets back on track."

AMY WINEHOUSE’s husband BLAKE FIELDER-CIVIL will stand trial on charges of perverting the course of justice in June (08).
Fielder-Civil appeared at a court hearing at Snaresbrook Crown Court in east London on Friday morning (18Jan08) to confirm his name and formally enter his not guilty plea.
The 25-year-old, who is currently being held on remand at London’s Pentonville Prison, stands accused to attempting to fix the outcome of his trial for grievous bodily harm.
He and three associates are alleged to have assaulted barman James King in June last year (06), before trying to pay off King with $400,000 (£200,000) and a free holiday in return for withdrawing his statement. All other defendants have also pleaded their innocence.
The Rehab star turned up 45 minutes late for the hearing and took her place beside her mother-in-law, Georgette Civil. During the hearing, Winehouse blew several kisses to her husband and twice whispered "I love you" to him. She later exclaimed, "I love you handsome, you gorgeous one", as Fielder-Civil was led out of court and back to jail.
Winehouse herself had charges against her dropped in relation to the allegations of bribery earlier this month (Jan08), following her arrest in December (07).
Fielder-Civil remains behind bars and is due back in court on 29 February (08) for another hearing. His June trial is expected to last between five to six weeks.

Comedian DANE COOK has blasted JESSICA ALBA for branding their new movie GOOD LUCK CHUCK "porn".
In the February (08) issue of U.S. magazine Elle, the actress claimed the 2007 comedy differed from its original screenplay, comparing the finished product to a pornographic movie.
But Cook, 35, has defended the project, insisting the final script was completely unchanged from the version handed to Alba before she signed up.
He tells MTV.com, "First of all, we all read the script. We did what we read.
I guess to that I would say, she’s watching some really silly-ass porn.
"We all cared about the project, Dan (Fogler, co-star), Jessica and myself.
Not a day went by that we weren’t in communication with each other and having a blast.
"And then you walk away from it. And when it’s done, it’s up to a lot of other people to complete it. You may not always care for the final results.
It’s just the facts." Despite his remarks, the actor still holds the Sin City star in high esteem, blaming her ill-considered criticism of the film on media exaggeration: "I haven’t spoken to her about whatever she may have said. And who knows, that might be one little piece of a lot of things she said. Personally, I think she’s incredible."
