REYNOLDS TO PRESENT PAL DURNING WITH SAG HONOUR
BURT REYNOLDS will present the Life Achievement Award to CHARLES DURNING at the 14th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards on 27 January (08) in Los Angeles.
Beloved TV and film actor Durning will be honoured for his career achievement and humanitarian accomplishments.
Past recipients of SAG’s Life Achievement Award include Julie Andrews, James Garner, Clint Eastwood, Sidney Poitier, Kirk Douglas, Elizabeth Taylor and Robert Redford.
Reynolds was chosen to honour Durning because he is a longtime friend of the actor’s, and frequent collaborator.
The two starred together in TV comedy series Evening Shade, and movies Stick, Starting Over, Sharky’s Machine, The Best Little Whorehouse In Texas and Forget About It.
Reynolds also directed Durning in The Last Producer. Their seventh film together is the upcoming Deal.
