SUICIDAL SPEARS PENNED NOTE BEFORE STAND-OFF DRAMA
BRITNEY SPEARS penned a suicide note days before her bizarre stand-off with police and paramedics at her home earlier this month (Jan08).
The authorities were called to the singer’s Hollywood home on 03 January (08) after she failed to hand over her one-year-old son Jayden James to ex-husband Kevin Federline’s employees after a scheduled visit came to an end.
Spears then locked herself and her son in a bathroom at her compound and refused to come out for three hours.
The bizarre stand-off, which ended with a nearly-naked Spears being committed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, resulted in the star losing the right to visit her two young sons.
And now U.S. publication In Touch Weekly claims warning signs of the singer’s fragile mental state emerged several days before the incident.
A source tells the magazine that Spears’ longtime pal Sam Lutfi found a suicide note on a bathroom counter in the days leading up to the star’s meltdown.
The insider says, "The letter was very sad. It was filled with reasons why she shouldn’t live and included lines from poems about death.
"She (Spears) said in it she was sorry for never making her life what everyone else wanted. She mentioned how lonely and unfair life could be, how peaceful death seems and how your mind would finally be at ease.
"She went on and on about wanting to just rest in peace."
