Insiders claim Spears and British paparazzo Ghalib have discussed a quick wedding, but he’s reportedly not divorced from his wife.
Ghalib and Spears have been inseparable since the singer hunted him down after a wild night out in December (07).
The Toxic hitmaker took her beau to Mexico for a brief break and recently bought him a Mercedes, according to U.S. reports.

EDDIE MURPHY and his wife of two weeks have split, according to shocking new U.S. reports.
The movie star and Tracey Edmonds wed in Bora Bora in French Polynesia on 1 January (08) and have been planning to renew their vows on American soil after realising the ceremony wasn’t legally binding.

The mystery of the MONA LISA has been solved by German scholars, who insist the subject of LEONARDO DA VINCI’s famous painting was the wife of a Florentine businessman.
For centuries art lovers and experts alike attempted to unearth the identity of the enigmatic woman in the famous portrait and now students at Heidelberg University have done just that.
They confirm the Mona Lisa is in fact Francesco del Giocondo after finding clues scribbled in the margins of a book penned by Da Vinci’s friend Agostino Vespucci in 1503.
The scholars now fully understand why Da Vinci dubbed his masterpiece La Gioconda.

MARILU HENNER saved her sex life with her new husband after ignoring crude medical advice offered as a cure for bladder cancer.
The Taxi star had only just started dating Michael Brown four years ago when he was diagnosed with lung and bladder cancer, and she took him on a tour of U.S. doctors in a bid to get the right help.
She says, "I took him all over the country, to about nine doctors because I sort of do the best of east and west medicine, integrated medicine." But the actress admits the new couple weren’t always thrilled with what the experts suggested.
She adds, "We hit some crackpots along the way… One of the doctors…
immediately wanted to do surgery.
"He said, ‘We’re gonna take it out, we’re gonna run this tube through your penis and if you two want to have sex you just have to pump it up six times." Henner admits the couple ran out of the consultation, and instead used natural cures and dietary methods to beat the disease.
She explains, "I changed his diet and, as a result, we saved everything; Michael still has everything intact (and) he’s in remission now.
"The mentality in this country is to cut something out and then get back to normal… I keep saying, ‘Maybe normal needs to be looked at.’"

U.S. comedian-turned-gameshow host DREW CAREY has added soccer team boss to his resume - after investing in a Major League Soccer (MLS) team.
The star is a huge fan of the sport and has pumped money into a franchise in Seattle, Washington, which will kick off its new season in April (08).
Carey reveals, "We haven’t got a name yet. We’re going to have a fan contest to name it." Carey has been a longtime devotee of soccer and took off to Europe to film a documentary about the sport, which aired in 2006.

THE BLACK EYED PEAS star will.i.am opened a new arts and music academy in Los Angeles on Wednesday (16Jan08).
The group plan to pump finance and time into the Black Eyed Peas Peapod Academy, which will offer inner-city kids the chance to learn all about music, film and digital media.

Opera star MARILYN HORNE is celebrating after winning her cancer battle.
The beloved 74-year-old mezzo-soprano was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer the disease that killed her friend Luciano Pavarotti - in 2006.
Horne underwent a pioneering experimental treatment that has only been administered to select cancer sufferers, which involves regular injections of pancreatic cancer cells genetically modified with a gene to boost immunity.

Rocker ERIC CLAPTON is selling off memorabilia online in an effort to raise funds for his Crossroads Centre at Antigua rehab facility.
The guitar great has teamed with online auction site eBay.com to open a new store, which will sell the Clapton collectibles.
Items up for grabs include tour jackets, backstage passes, T-shirts, mugs and bumper stickers.
Clapton founded the Crossroads Centre in 1997. The facility provides a sanctuary for recovering alcoholics and drug addicts.
Clapton himself has struggled with drug and drink dependency.
