KYLIE MINOGUE is quietly planning a permanent return to her native Melbourne, Australia because she gets more and more nostalgic about her youth there when she visits.
The pop superstar has adopted London as her home for years - after becoming a household name there at the beginning of her music career.
But Minogue, who turns 40 in May (08), insists she’ll eventually move back to Australia.
She says, "It just wouldn’t work for me at the moment.
"I always come back - it is one of my homes. It’s my heart’s home. And I just have a really dumb happy look on my face every time I land." In a TV interview in Australia on Monday (14Jan08), Minogue also revealed she’s determined to play dates Down Under as part of her world tour, which starts in Europe this spring (08).

JOSH GROBAN and will.i.am joined CELINE DION onstage in Los Angeles on Saturday (12Jan08) for a low-key fan-only concert that has been filmed for a new TV special.
The concert, at the Wiltern Theater, was Dion’s first show since she wrapped her five-year A New Day residency at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas in December (07).

The pregnancy scandal revolving around BRITNEY SPEARS’ teenage sister, JAMIE LYNN, is being used as part of a campaign to urge pet owners to spay and neuter dogs and cats.
Animal rights group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals are hoping pet lovers get the link between a hard-hitting new Internet video and young Spears.
In the film, which has been posted on PETA’s website, a 16 year-old girl is encouraged to become sexually active.
When the horrified girl asks, "What if I get pregnant?" the parents urge her to "pop out all the kids you can".
The ad concludes, "Parents shouldn’t act this way. Neither should people with dogs and cats. Always spay or neuter." PETA President Ingrid E. Newkirk insists the ad was filmed before Spears announced she was pregnant last month (Dec07), but she hopes people make the connection.
She says, "Just as (Jamie Lynn’s mother) Lynne Spears is under scrutiny because of her underage daughter’s pregnancy, people who fail to spay and neuter their animals should also be feeling the heat.
"No one should be bringing more animals into the world when millions of deserving, wonderful dogs and cats are dying for good homes." And to make sure those close to pregnant Spears get the message, PETA bosses have arranged to air the ad on Jamie Lynn’s local ABC affiliate in her native Louisiana, TV network WGNO.

QUEEN LATIFAH has become the latest celebrity to offer troubled BRITNEY SPEARS a retreat, urging the fallen pop star to go home with her.
The Chicago star has been watching Spears’ problems unfold in recent months and she feels compelled to offer the singer her help and support.
This comes a day after Spears’ antics outside a crucial Los Angeles custody hearing cost the star all her visitation rights with sons Sean Preston and Jayden James for another month.
The Los Angeles Commissioner overseeing Spears’ custody battle with ex-husband Kevin Federline has ruled the singer will have to wait until the next hearing on 19 February (08) to fight for access to her kids after she failed to actually attend the hearing on Monday (14Jan08).
And Latifah, real name Dana Owens, isn’t surprised that so many celebrities are offering Spears help, while others appear to be chiding and poking fun.
She says, "A lot of us can relate to each other. Look how many people just want to take Britney home and give her a place to sleep and rest and talk her down.
"Everybody wants to help this girl… We understand the pressures we deal with and realise up underneath all that star stuff we’re normal people with normal problems.
"We’d rather support each other than tear each other down."

SIR PAUL McCARTNEY and actress/singer LULU are reportedly dating exclusively after working together on a new album.
The former Beatle is co-producing tracks on the beloved British singer’s new album, which she’s recording at the fabled Abbey Road studios in London.
And sources tell respected U.S. columnist Liz Smith the couple is "head over heels" in love with each other and now McCartney is making plans to perform with his new girlfriend, who turns 60 this year (08), on his upcoming tour.
Smith reveals the couple is desperately trying to keep the romance under wraps until McCartney’s divorce from Heather Mills is finalised, but friends tell her there has been "a lot of staying over at Paul’s place".
Ironically, Lulu, real name Marie McLaughlin Lawrie, will be among the stars performing at a planned tribute to the Beatles at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles this summer (08).
Lulu has been single since divorcing stylist John Frieda in 1995. Her first husband was late Bee Gees star Maurice Gibb.
Since his split from Mills in 2006, McCartney has been romantically linked to socialites Steffina Graves and Sabrina Guinness and actress Renee Zellweger.

BEN AFFLECK’s actor brother CASEY and his wife SUMMER PHOENIX are celebrating after becoming parents for a second time.
The Gone Baby Gone star, 32, announced the happy news on his website with a brief post on Saturday (12Jan08), although full details of the tot’s arrival have yet to be disclosed.
The message reads: "Casey and Summer Phoenix celebrate the birth of their second child." The couple wed in June 2006. They already have a three-year-old son, called Indiana August.
Summer Phoenix is actor Joaquin Phoenix’s sister.

BRITNEY SPEARS will suffer the same fate as DIANA, PRINCESS OF WALES, if the paparazzi don’t leave her alone, outspoken actress-turned-U.S. TV personality ROSIE O’DONNELL has warned.
In her daily online blog, O’Donnell expresses her fears Spears will die trying to flee the press mob that follows her every move.
Princess Diana was killed in a Paris, France car crash in 1997 as she attempted to get away from the press pack chasing her.
And O’Donnell admits she has flashbacks to the Diana tragedy everytime she sees Spears being chased by an army of photographers.
She writes, "I remember the tunnel as it appeared on the news, lit by headlights, flashlights, red lights. Between the cement tall pillars was a heap of twisted metal. I saw it then, and I can see it now. Diana dead." And the crazy events of Monday (14Jan08), which saw Spears trying to escape the paparazzi following her home from a Los Angeles courthouse by running into a Sherman Oaks, California church, made O’Donnell fear for the troubled pop star, She adds, "She (Spears) will be trying to get away, but they will chase her, just as they chased her into that church yesterday.
"There were dozens of them, jostling their way into sanctuary, elbowing past each other, just to creep closer to her.
"Not a girl, barely even a woman yet, they chased her. A mob of stalkers for whom no stalking laws have been written."

Scientology leaders have prepared a seven-page statement damning biographer ANDREW MORTON’s new expose on church celebrity TOM CRUISE.
The Brit’s new tome, Tom Cruise: An Unauthorized Biography, hits bookstores across America on Tuesday (15Jan08) and features wild claims about the movie star’s personal life, his marriages to Nicole Kidman and Katie Holmes and his Scientology beliefs.
Church leaders are determined to dismiss the book, by revealing Morton didn’t interview anyone close to Cruise or even any of the directors the actor has worked with while researching what they call a "bigoted, defamatory assault replete with lies." Morton accepts he didn’t interview the major people in Cruise’s life, but insists he did try.
The author, who stunned the world with a Princess Diana expose a decade ago, says, "Most people in Hollywood are scared of talking publicly and candidly about Tom Cruise." Morton also defends himself against the Scientology leaders’ new accusations that his Cruise biography won’t be released in the writer’s native Britain because publishers there rejected the project.
Morton insists the book will not hit shelves there because libel laws in the U.K. favour plaintiffs far more than they do in America and other parts of the world.

Sunday night’s (13Oct08) Golden Globe Awards TV coverage was the least watched for over a decade.
Only 5.8 million people tuned in to watch the official hourlong results show on NBC, which replaced the cancelled ceremony.
The coverage plummeted 71 per cent from last year’s (07) figures and it was the least-watched Globes telecast since 1995, when only 3.6 million people tuned into watch the winners and losers from the worlds of TV and film.
The Globes ceremony was cancelled earlier this month (Jan08) after striking Hollywood writers refused to give organisers a waiver and threatened to picket the event if it went ahead.

ANNETTE BENING is to be honoured with the American Society of Cinematographers (ASC) Board of Governors Award at a gala on 26 January (08).
The honour is bestowed on individuals who have made significant contributions to advancing the global art of filmmaking.

HELENA BONHAM CARTER loves breast feeding her new baby daughter because it gives her boobs a purpose.
The 41-year-old actress gave birth to her second child with director Tim Burton in December (07) and she’s a big fan of motherhood all over again.
And she can’t understand other mums who choose not to breastfeed - because it’s "wonderful".
The Sweeney Todd star says, "You know you’re providing a real service. After carrying around your boobs for so long, it’s nice to know they have an actual purpose." That said, the Brit is determined not to carry on breastfeeding her new baby daughter for too long after an uncomfortable experience with her four-year-old son Billy.
She adds, "Billy was a bit of a succubus. It gets to a point where you feel awkward. If they can crawl up and reach for it, perhaps it’s time to move on." Bonham Carter and Burton are yet to reveal what name they’ll give to their daughter.

Actress/singer QUEEN LATIFAH is taking aim at the tabloid media, insisting it has become her New Year’s resolution to "get legal" with anyone who prints lies about her.
The Chicago star admits she has always been treated well by members of the tabloid media but she’s growing weary of some of the stories they write about her.
And she’s ready to get tough with them.
She tells WENN, "They are actually starting to p**s me off. I haven’t been brutalised like some people… but you feel taken advantage of.
"This year, if somebody prints something about me, I’m ready to take it to their ass because it’s just not fair.
"I’m tired of hearing from my family members, `Did you say this?’ When somebody calls my family, that’s what concerns me. I have little brothers and sisters and nieces and nephews who are not so media savvy as me.
"They are not so thick skinned with this business, so these reports bother them. That’s when I really want to go for somebody’s throat, legally with lawyers and all. And I will."

French actress JULIETTE BINOCHE has been named the new face of cosmetics giant Lancome’s latest anti-aging line.
The Oscar winner was previously the face of Lancome’s Poeme fragrance in 1995 and has always been favoured by company bosses, who insist she "embodies the essence of French femininity".
Lancome International President Odile Roujol says, "It is an immense pleasure for us to welcome Juliette Binoche back to Lancome.
"Her career choices, her natural and moving beauty, her independent spirit and generosity epitomize the values essential to our brand." Binoche will act as model and spokesperson for Lancome’s Renergie franchise, a complete skincare line that addresses the signs of aging.

Controversial film footage of WINONA RYDER simulating sex and masturbation with a puppet have appeared on the Internet to promote the actress’ new movie THE TEN.
Ryder is caught making love to a puppet in once scene, prompting her on-screen human lover, Ross, to `beat’ his wooden rival, called Gary, up.
The actress also pretends to relieve her randy wooden `co-star’ while driving a car in another scene.

A portion of country star GARTH BROOKS’ five Los Angeles charity concerts will air live on TV as part of a special.
Brooks made Staples Center history on 1 December (07) when all 85,000 tickets for his January (08) concerts, held to raise cash for the victims of last year’s (07) California wildfires, sold out in just 59 minutes. And, with the Hollywood writers strike bringing most shows to a standstill, bosses at TV network CBS have decided to win viewers by airing a live portion from Brooks’ third show on 25 January (08).
The one-hour special will be titled Garth Brooks: Live in L.A.!.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the Southern California 2008 Fire Intervention Relief Effort (FIRE). Viewers will be able to donate to the organisation during the TV special.

BRITNEY SPEARS stunned sales staff at a Betsey Johnson store in Sherman Oaks, California on Sunday (13Jan08) when she stepped out of a fitting room completely naked.
A day before Spears’ bizarre antics outside a Los Angeles courthouse cost her visitation rights to her young son for a month, the singer was stripping in front of shoppers.
Spears and her paparazzi boyfriend Adnan Ghalib caused a stir at the upmarket store upon their arrival, and as trendy shoppers watched, Spears grabbed a Betsey Johnson dress and took it to a fitting room.
But when she re-appeared, she wasn’t wearing the dress or what she had on when she entered the store.
One store employee who witnessed Spears’ shocking display tells Life & Style magazine, "I was blown away. Britney’s private parts were right in front of me! "I grabbed a dress to cover her and she screamed, ‘Get away from me! Don’t you f**king come near me!’" Witnesses allege Spears and Ghalib then spent more than 30 minutes alone in one of the store’s fitting rooms before the singer stumbled out, mumbling unintelligibly.
Another employee says, "I couldn’t understand a word she was saying. She was slurring and spitting, and talking with a British accent… I wanted to help her, but she was so mean that I left her alone." The bizarre scene at Betsey Johnson came during a weekend when Spears was spotted out and about with her new man, wearing one of the dresses she wore when she wed Kevin Federline in 2004.
She returned to the area after her bizarre Los Angeles Superior Court antics on Monday (14Jan08) for more craziness - she took an army of paparazzi into a nearby church and insisted on sitting in silence for just over two minutes.
