The Beautiful hitmaker, real name Calvin Broadus, has been friends with Beckham for years - but insists the duo have become much closer since the British sportsman moved to Los Angeles to play for American team, L.A. Galaxy.
And now the pair have set their sights on turning their friendship into a fashion collaboration.
Broadus says, "We are talking about making a slipper together. So when I stop rapping and he stops football (soccer) we can kick back and slip on a house shoe."

Troubled pop star BRITNEY SPEARS spent an evening of her recent trip to Mexico drinking on her own and singing to an empty bar, according to staff working at the resort where she was staying.
The singer booked herself and her British photographer boyfriend, Adnan Ghalib, in to the Rosario Beach Hotel last week (begs07Jan08), but was seen enjoying a lonely drink by the bar, where she recited slurred song lyrics.
Gustavo Lopez, the reception manager of the hotel, says, "One of our waitresses spotted Britney singing to herself in the bar. She heard her mumbling the words to Toxic.
"My barman said she looked like she was on drugs."

PARIS HILTON is heading to Harvard University, but not to study - she will be named its Woman of the Year.
The socialite is scheduled to stop by the Cambridge, Massachusetts institution on 6 February (08) during a promotional tour for her new movie The Hottie and the Nottie.
And PageSix.com claims she will pick up the award from Harvard’s Hasty Pudding Club the very next day.
Previous Women of the Year include Scarlett Johansson, Halle Berry and Sarah Jessica Parker.

Supermodel NAOMI CAMPBELL has been forced to pull out of director SPIKE LEE’s latest film MIRACLE AT ST. ANNA due to "scheduling conflicts".
The British catwalk beauty was set to feature in the World War Two drama, which follows a regiment of black soldiers fighting in the conflict, but had to cancel after learning the shoot would clash with other commitments.
Campbell has now been replaced by The Last King of Scotland star Kerry Washington - who has previously worked with Lee in 2004’s She Hate Me.
The Wire actor Michael K. Williams has also been added to the cast, reports BlackFilm.com.

Illusionist CRISS ANGEL has blamed BRITNEY SPEARS’ lack of commitment for cancelling their planned performance at the 2007 MTV Video Music Awards.
The magician was originally responsible for co-ordinating a series of illusions for the singer’s live comeback at the ceremony last year (Sep07) but the troubled star rejected his plans in favour of a simple performance that was panned by fans and critics alike.
But Angel insists he isn’t bitter about the missed opportunity.
He says, "With Britney I presented concepts to create, within her performance, illusions that would happen in the open. You would see Britney and then she would split into two Britneys and then four Britneys with no boxes or covers. It would just be a visual effect using no screens…
"I also thought of having her levitate over the audience. It was going to be really visual moments that were all… beautiful, artistic, elegant and, most important, unique - things MTV hasn’t seen in music.
"Britney is really strong with her own ideas. And what I had planned wasn’t an easy thing to do and would have required a lot of rehearsals. "Ultimately, I told her I needed 100 per cent commitment or I wasn’t going to be able to do this. I told her that, ‘You have to feel comfortable.’ So, we explored it and she decided it wasn’t for her, and I completely understand."

BRITNEY SPEARS has so far failed to turn up to a Los Angeles court for her crucial custody hearing with ex-husband KEVIN FEDERLINE, ignoring her lawyers’ "strong advice" about the importance of the meeting.
The troubled pop star was due to appear at Los Angeles Superior Court on Monday morning (14Jan08), where a judge will determine whether Spears can have her visitation rights reinstalled. Her access to sons Sean Preston, two and Jayden James, one, was cut off earlier this month (Jan08) after she refused to return the boys to Federline following a scheduled visit.
Monday’s court hearing was scheduled to begin at 9.30am local time, and while Federline and his attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan arrived shortly after 9am, two hours later there was still no sign of the singer.
And sources claim Spears has "no plans" to attend the custody session at all, reports People.com.
During the court session, Commissioner Scott Gordon is expected to hear eyewitness accounts from members of the emergency services about the events of 3 January (08), when Spears suffered an apparent breakdown, sparking a lengthy stand-off with police and resulting in the star being admitted to hospital for a mental evaluation.
Following the dramatic incident, Federline was awarded sole legal and physical custody of their two sons, while Spears was handed a temporary restraining order against her ex.

Actor STEVEN R. McQUEEN is determined not to follow the same path as his famous namesake grandfather.
The 19-year-old, who is currently starring in Disney sci-fi TV show Minutemen, was named after the Bullitt legend and hopes to become as famous as the late star, but in his own right.
McQueen Jr. says, "People expect me to be just like my grandfather, and I see similarities, but I’m really a different guy, so I choose roles that are different from what he would have played." McQueen died in 1980, aged 50, after suffering a heart attack following lung surgery.

British comedian RICKY GERVAIS was relieved the annual Golden Globes celebrations had been cancelled, because he hates having to dress up for awards shows.
The 2008 ceremony was replaced with a low-key press conference on Sunday (13Jan08), after Hollywood stars refused to cross the Writers Guild of America picket lines.
And Gervais - who won the Best TV Comedy prize for his hit show Extras decided against watching the winners’ announcement live on television preferring to spend his time in the comfort of his bed.

The last installment in the HARRY POTTER movie franchise will be released in two parts - because one edit of THE DEATHLY HALLOWS will leave out too much information about the boy wizard’s final adventures.
The sixth film in the series, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, is due for release in November (08), and although the characters’ futures are wrapped up in just seven novels by author J.K. Rowling, fans of the movies will be given an extra treat with a double dose of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
A source says, "There’s so much to fit that the view is the last movie should be in two halves. There is a huge battle when Harry, played by Daniel Radcliffe, takes on (evil wizard, Lord) Voldemort (played by Ralph Fiennes) that needs to be done really well." And Rowling has briefly commented on the reports herself, stating on her website: "It is simply impossible to incorporate every storyline into a film under four hours long." Fans of the books have previously criticised the big-screen adaptations for their lack of detail.

THE SIMPSONS is set to become a major casualty of the writers’ strike - because not enough episodes have been completed to last the current season.
As each episode of the show takes so long to make, bosses haven’t been able to create a backlog to see them through the Writers’ Guild of America’s industrial action, which has crippled the Hollywood movie and TV industry.
Actress Yeardley Smith, who provides the voice for Bart Simpson, reveals, "We don’t usually have as many shows ahead as other animated series. We have about 10 episodes in the pipeline, in various stages of completion.
"The question is whether any of them will be ready in time to air before the season ends in May." But Smith is convinced this season is one of the long-running show’s best, adding: "(They are) really strong. Journalists were writing for a while that The Simpsons seemed to have lost its sass. I think in the last couple of seasons, we’ve gone back to what makes it so strong - the ‘take no prisoners’ attitude, the depth of character."

Hip-hop violinist MIRI BEN-ARI is to be honoured by the Fellowship of Israel and Black America with the first ever Martin Luther King Jr. Israeli Award.
Ben-Ari will be feted for her efforts to reach out to African-American youths with her song Symphony of Brotherhood, the video of which features clips of the late civil rights leader.
And the musician is delighted to have her work officially recognised.

Country star LeANN RIMES uses her new album to finally end a long-running rift with her parents.
Wilbur and Belinda Rimes helped launch LeAnn’s career, but they fell out with the singer and the star ended up suing her dad in 2000, in a bid to regain control over her career, claiming he had stolen money from her.
They recently reconciled and Rimes has dedicated her new LP, Family, to the repaired relationship with her now-divorced parents.
She says, "All I wanted was my family to be my family and not my management to really have that separation of business and personal life.
"I have that now. I have a wonderful relationship with both of my parents. I dive into that on the title track, Family. I think that is a clarification song for myself and everyone listening."

KID ROCK has proved he’s a generous rocker - he recently rewarded a New York restaurant worker with $1,000 (£500) in cash for returning a pal’s $200,000 (£100,000) watch.
The star was dining at Manhattan’s Southern Hospitality with some friends when one of the restaurant’s employees spotted the watch on the floor - and promptly alerted the group to his find.
A source tells the New York Post’s gossip column PageSix, "The watch wasn’t even his (Kid Rock’s); it belonged to one of Kid’s friends." And that wasn’t the only money the 36-year-old splashed during his visit - he also offered cash prizes to his companions if they completed various challenges.
The source adds, "He was daring his friends to drink bottles of tabasco and barbecue sauce. Two of his friends won $500 each (for completing the task)."

And on Sunday (13Jan08), the Toxic star was seen leaving department store Macy’s with Ghalib, when she again chose to ditch her Louisiana accent for her new twang of choice.
But it’s not the first time Spears has employed the fake British tones - she is reported to have spoken almost entirely in an English accent the night she was admitted to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles earlier this month (04Jan08), reports TMZ.com.
