BIRKHEAD: ‘DRUGS DIDN’T MAKE BABY DANNIELYNN CROSS-EYED’

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:23 pm

LATEST: The father of ANNA NICOLE SMITH’s baby daughter has hit back at reports connecting the tot’s eye disorder to medications her late mother may have taken while she was pregnant.
Baby Dannielynn has been forced to wear an eyepatch and take medication to correct strabismus, which is slowly turning her cross-eyed.
But her father, Larry Birkhead, insists tabloid reports linking the disorder to Smith’s drug use are far-fetched.
In an exclusive interview with U.S. news show Entertainment Tonight, which will air on Monday (14Jan08), Birkhead says, "All of the opinions that I had (from doctors), every one of them said that it’s very, very unlikely, because no one knows 100 per cent what causes this.
"I point-blank ask every single doctor, ‘Could any medications that Anna was on have caused this?’ and they said that it’s more likely that a genetic reason could have caused it."

CAMPBELL DATING CHAVEZ?

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:20 pm

Supermodel NAOMI CAMPBELL is dating Venezuelan President HUGO CHAVEZ, according to odd newspaper reports in the South American country.
The British stunner recently travelled to Caracas to interview Chavez for British magazine GQ - and reporters there claim the pair are smitten with each other and have been courting for two months.
Respected El Universal journalist Nelson Bocaranda claims 53-year-old Chavez fell "head-over-heels" in love with Campbell after their interview, in which he flirted and invited the 37-year-old to "touch my muscles".
The catwalk queen is quoted in El Universal, describing Chavez as "not a gorilla, he is more a bull".
Chavez has four children from two failed marriages. Campbell, who counts Robert De Niro and U2’s Adam Clayton among her exes, has never married.
The shocking news of the coupling comes on the same day as the marriage of French leader Nicolas Sarkozy and former supermodel Carla Bruni.

DEPP CONVINCED DILLINGER WASN’T ‘SO BIG’

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:20 pm

JOHNNY DEPP is relieved his manhood won’t come into play when he portrays JOHN DILLINGER on the big screen - because he’s convinced the infamous bankrobber’s well-hung reputation is a myth.
The Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street star feared he’d be packing his pants for his upcoming role in Public Enemies in a bid to capture every aspect of Dillinger’s character.
But his research has led him to believe the U.S. Depression-era hood was not as `big’ as has been reported.
He tells the new issue of Rolling Stone magazine, "There’s some very famous photographs of Dillinger on the morgue slab, and there’s one particular angle, with the sheet over him, and it’s (his penis), like, 25 inches, man.
"The speculation was that he was in the wrong racket. But you read further, and it was a crank on the other side that the sheet had been draped over, making it look like he was packing, you know, Mr. Ed’s (U.S. TV talking horse) shotgun (penis)."

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:17 pm

NIP/TUCK star DYLAN WALSH can’t understand why cosmetic surgery is on the rise - because he thought his show would put people off.
The actor felt sure the TV drama’s graphic scenes would make people think again about going under the knife for facelifts, nosejobs and breast augmentation, but research shows the programme has actually boosted the plastic surgery industry.
Walsh, who plays surgeon Dr. Sean McNamara on the show, says, "It’s weird to think that (the more) people see how graphic and violent the surgery is, more and more people each year sign up for it."

QUEEN LATIFAH GIVES AWAY MAD MONEY ON FILM SET

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:11 pm

QUEEN LATIFAH gave the cast and crew something to look forward to every Friday on the set of her new film MAD MONEY - she gave cash away.
The rapper-turned-singer/actress came up with a "five dollar Friday" ruse that would give runners, camera operators and interns the chance to go home for the weekend with a big cash bonus.
The generous Chicago star explains, "It was actually my way of giving back to the crew
. Sometimes you get to throw a barbecue or do something special but usually I know that the crew people are working really hard and everybody is not making the same amount of money we are.
"So we do this five dollar Fridays thing and everybody writes their name on a five dollar bill and puts it into a bucket and at the end of the day somebody picks a bill out and whoever’s name is on the bill wins all the money." And Latifah, real name Dana Owens, had a way of sweetening the deal further: "I’d double the money every Friday
. It could be a lot of money, so don’t tell the IRS (tax authorities at the Internal Revenue Service)."

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:08 pm

A concert planned to mark the 40th anniversary of late country legend JOHNNY CASH’s landmark performance at California’s Folsom State Prison went ahead in Britain on Sunday (13Jan07).

But that didn’t stop a British prison tribute - covers band CashBack performed the legend’s Folsom Prison set list to 100 inmates at Highpoint Prison in Suffolk, England.

VEDDER WINS FIRST GLOBE

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:08 pm

PEARL JAM star EDDIE VEDDER picked up his first Golden Globe award on Sunday night (13Jan08) for one of the songs he penned for pal SEAN PENN’s INTO THE WILD film.
Vedder’s prize was announced after a televised press conference on Sunday night (13Jan08), when the major TV and film winners were announced.
Vedder’s win for the song Guaranteed was not his introduction to the Golden Globes, however - a tune the rocker wrote for Tim Burton’s Big Fish lost out to Annie Lennox’s offering for Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King in 2004.
In another top music category that wasn’t announced during the televised press conference on Sunday, Dario Marianelli won Best Original Score for Atonement.
Additional awards went to The Diving Bell & The Butterfly (Best Foreign Language Film), Joel and Ethan Coen (Best Screenplay for No Country For Old Men) and Jim Broadbent (Best Performance by an Actor in a Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television).
A full recap of award winners left Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, Atonement, The Diving Bell & The Butterfly and TV dramas Longford and Mad Men the only double Golden Globe winners.
Sweeney Todd and Atonement were named the Best films in the Comedy or Musical and Drama categories respectively.
The night’s big movie acting prizes went to Daniel Day-Lewis (Best Actor Drama for There Will Be Blood), Julie Christie (Best Actress Drama for Away From Her), Marion Cotillard (Best Actress Comedy/Musical for La Vie en Rose) and Johnny Depp (Best Actor Comedy/Musical for Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street).
