BEAN POSTPONES WEDDING
LORD OF THE RINGS star SEAN BEAN has called off his wedding to actress GEORGINA SUTCLIFFE - just 24 hours before the couple was due to walk down the aisle.
The 48-year-old actor was due to wed 29-year-old Sutcliffe in a low-key ceremony at London’s Marylebone Town Hall earlier this week (begs07Jan08), but the nuptials were cancelled at the last minute.
And the decision has left his guests, including his parents, baffled.
His father, Brian Bean, says, "I don’t know why (it was cancelled). He hasn’t said anything to us." But Sutcliffe has dismissed rumours of a fall-out between the pair, insisting the wedding will be rescheduled for a later date.
She says, "So what? We’ve just rescheduled because of personal issues and work commitments…
"Sean and I have just got back from Rome and I’m absolutely shattered. He’s here with me at the moment. It was a wonderful holiday. We do intend to get married shortly." The marriage will be Bean’s fourth. He has three children from his previous relationships.
