RADIOHEAD TOP U.K. ALBUM CHART
RADIOHEAD’s IN RAINBOWS has proved to be as popular in its CD release as it was as a digital download - the album has debuted atop the U.K. album chart.
The LP made headlines in October (07) when the rockers allowed fans to name their own price to digitally download the disc, but the CD version of the album was only released earlier this week (begs31Dec07).
Take That’s Beautiful World is at number two, while last week’s biggest seller, Leona Lewis’ Spirit, slips down to third place.
In the singles chart, reality TV star Leon Jackson continued his new year celebrations after keeping hold of the top spot with his debut song, When You Believe.
The X Factor winner, 18, continued his run at number one for a third consecutive week, seeing off competition from American rapper Soulja Boy, whose hit single Crank That (Soulja Boy) climbs up one place to number two, while Lewis’ Bleeding Love is at number three.
Timbaland’s collaboration with OneRepublic, Apologize, remains unmoved at number four, and Take That’s Rule the World rounds out the top five in fifth place.
