CAPITOL RECORDS V.P. DIES
Capitol Records’ vice president RONALD JOHNSON has suffered a fatal heart attack at the age of 49.
Johnson, who worked with artists including Chingy, J. Holiday and Fat Joe, collapsed and died at his home in New York State on Sunday (30Dec07).
It was his second heart attack in less than two years.
Johnson’s widow Jackie Pack-Johnson has confirmed his death was linked to a artery condition he had suffered since childhood. Pack-Johnson said, "He’s the nicest guy you’d ever want to meet." She also revealed he planned to run the Atlanta Marathon in March (2008).
Johnson is survived by Pack-Johnson and his adult son Matthew Pack.
