Two-time Oscar winner HILARY SWANK is still upset she was fired from TV show BEVERLY HILLS, 90210 in the late 1990s.
Swank admits she lost confidence in her acting ability when television bosses decided she wasn’t good enough for the then-ailing teen programme.
But the 33-year-old had the last laugh when she won her first Academy Award for her performance in Boys Don’t Cry just two years later in 2000, and went on to claim a second Oscar for Million Dollar Baby.
She says, "They (producers) never told me why, they just said it wasn’t working… Especially when it’s in its eighth season and no one’s watching it.
You just think, ‘I’m not good enough for this show?’"

Rapper SNOOP DOGG is optimistic a video recording of a brawl at London’s Heathrow airport that got him banned from the U.K. will help overturn the ruling.
The hip-hop star is currently forbidden from entering the U.K., partly as a result of his drug convictions but also because he was cautioned by police on suspicion of violent disorder and affray following the Heathrow skirmish in 2006.
But Snoop - real name Calvin Broadus - hopes video footage of the incident taped by a bystander will prove that British police were overly aggressive and responsible for the confrontation.
He says, "They release this video and it’s floating around on YouTube, TMZ and all over the internet. It’s looking real strange how they (police) did that to me and my security. Now they looking real out of pocket."

LATEST: Troubled BRITNEY SPEARS finally arrived for her deposition in her child custody case on Thursday (03Jan08) - and testified for 14 minutes.
The Toxic singer skipped a second court-ordered deposition in her fight over her two sons with ex-husband Kevin Federline on Wednesday (02Jan08), causing her lawyer Sorrel Trope to file a motion requesting permission to quit the case because of a "communication breakdown" with Spears.
Last month (Dec07), the star claimed she was too ill to attend court - that same night she was reportedly spotted out partying.
But on Thursday morning, Spears presented herself at the office of Federline’s attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan in Los Angeles for questioning. She arrived 90 minutes late, and then stayed for less than a quarter of an hour.
When asked if Spears had provided Kaplan with all the information he needed, the lawyer replied, "In 14 minutes?!" Spears is expected to be quizzed on subjects including her past drug and alcohol use and her failure to comply with a string of court orders.
Spears and Federline’s divorce was finalised last summer (07). Both are fighting for the custody of Sean Preston, two, and Jayden James, one.

LINDSAY LOHAN suffered an alcohol relapse while attending a New Year’s Eve (31Dec07) party in Italy - the troubled actress swigged champagne from a bottle.
The Mean Girls star was in the European country to receive an honour for her contribution to the movie industry at the Capri Film Festival on Sunday (30Dec07), and went on to spend New Year’s Eve in the city.
In a video taken at the bash and posted on website TMZ.com, Lohan, who checked into rehab twice in 2007 following two arrests for driving under the influence, can be seen drinking from a bottle of champagne.
Her lawyer Blair Berk says, "After being handed a champagne bottle while on a dance floor in Italy on New Year’s Eve and drinking from it, the good news is that Lindsay stopped herself, called her sponsor, and got herself back on track.
"There is no magic cure here. The most unfortunate part of this is that Lindsay has to share her ‘one day at a time’ with the entire world."

LATEST: Newlyweds EDDIE MURPHY and TRACEY EDMONDS will marry for a second time in a legal ceremony when they return to America.
The couple wed on a private island off Bora Bora in French Polynesia in front of 25 friends and family on Tuesday (01Jan08).
As that ceremony carries no legal significance in the U.S., Murphy and Edmonds will enjoy a second wedding on their return home.
Edmonds’ spokesperson tells People.com, "As is typical when couples get married in foreign countries, a legal ceremony will take place when they return to the U.S.
"The wedding that took place in Bora Bora was a ceremony to bind Eddie and Tracey spiritually in the presence of family and friends. The couple plan a legal ceremony as soon as they return to the States." Murphy and Edmonds, who have been dating since 2006, have both been married before - Murphy divorced Nicole Mitchell in April 2006, while Edmonds ended her marriage to music mogul Kenneth ‘Babyface’ Edmonds in October 2005.

Liu’s Cashmere is the new series from Sex & The City creator Darren Star, and follows four female executives struggling to balance careers with family in New York City.
Lipstick Jungle, which stars Brooke Shields, Kim Raver and Lindsay Price and is also set in New York, is an adaptation of Sex & The City writer Candace Bushnell’s book of the same name.
But Liu insists there is plenty of room on U.S. television for shows starring women - and that journalists would never ask male actors if their shows share a rivalry with other programmes starring men.
She says, "It’s such a strange question. People ask, ‘What do you think of these shows coming up, and is it your competition?’ No. Why does it have to be your competition? Why can’t there always be shows about women? "No one asks a man if it’s difficult to have another show about men."

Former KID ‘N PLAY rapper CHRISTOPHER ‘PLAY’ MARTIN was left hospitalised on Saturday (29Dec07), when his car was struck by a vehicle whose driver had been shot by police.
Martin, best known for starring in the House Party films in the early 1990s, was driving his sports utility vehicle when he was hit by a car driven by robbery suspect Raul Riva Aldama, according to officials.
Police say Aldama lost control of his car when he was shot as he drove towards a police officer. His vehicle then collided with Martin’s further down the street.
Aldama died from his gunshot wounds at the scene, while Martin and his passenger Michelle Gonzales were taken to a nearby hospital. Both had been discharged for unknown injuries by Wednesday (02Jan08).
