GROBAN TAKES CHRISTMAS INTO THE NEW YEAR

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:19 pm

JOSH GROBAN continues to spread holiday cheer on the U.S. album charts a week after claiming 2007’s best-selling release.
The singer’s festive album, Noel, has become the first Christmas album to top The Billboard 200 for five straight weeks.
And its astonishing Christmas week sales of 757,000 copies in the United States kept Mary J. Blige’s new album, Growing Pains, off the top.
Chart experts expected Blige to end Groban’s chart reign, but even 629,000 sales couldn’t get her to number one - she debuts at two.
Alicia Keys’ As I Am drops to three, despite sales in excess of 474,000 this past week.
The Eagles’ Long Road Out of Eden and Miley Cyrus’ double album Hannah Montana 2 (Soundtrack)/Meet Miley Cyrus round out the new top five.
