Ashanti is worried her sexy new image will make her look like “a sl*t”.
The singer-and-actress, who plays gun-toting Nurse Betty in ‘Resident Evil: Extinction’, admits she is concerned she will come across as an overly sexual woman.
Ashanti said: "I don’t want to come off as a sl*t bucket. I’m not that chick, but I am an adult. I am a woman.
"That nurse’s outfit is different. It’s not a typical nurse outfit. But do I have one in the closet? I might." The 27-year-old R’n'B singer also revealed she is excited about her fourth studio album ‘The Declaration’, as she believes it will show people she has matured.
Ashanti said: "I’m declaring my independence, growth, creativity. It’s been three years. I’m declaring that, hey, it’s Ashanti, and I’m bringing some stuff to the table." Ashanti, who worked with producers Polow Da Don and Babyface on the new LP, added: "With this album, I’m taking the lead with everything. I’m steering my own ship. I’m doing everything on my own. You can definitely hear the growth; I’m working with producers I’ve never worked with before."
