QUEEN LATIFAH and JENNIFER HUDSON are to star in the movie adaptation of writer SUE MONK’s best-selling novel THE SECRET LIFE OF BEES.
Dakota Fanning and Alicia Keys are expected to be added to the cast early in the New Year (08).
In the film, Fanning and Hudson’s characters are taken in by sisters, played by Keys and Latifah, after they run away from home in the 1960s.
The film will get an early start in 2008 because the script was completed before the Hollywood writer’s strike began on 5 November (07).
