SPECTOR SUES LAWYER PAL FOR $1 MILLION

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 2:57 am

Music mogul PHIL SPECTOR is suing revered celebrity lawyer ROBERT SHAPIRO for the return of $1 million (GBP500,000).
Spector signed over the cash to the attorney, who once represented O.J.
Simpson, when the producer hired Shapiro as his lawyer shortly after he was accused of murdering actress Lana Clarkson at his Alhambra, California mansion in 2003.
But now he wants the cash back, claiming he was "labouring under a tremendous amount of mental stress that comes with being arrested for murder," when he recruited his longtime friend as his lawyer.
He claims Shapiro created "horrendous" problems for him during the trial, which eventually ended in a hung jury.
Meanwhile, Spector is currently recruiting a new legal team for his murder retrial in 2008.
