WINEHOUSE’S DAD: ‘MY FEARS OVER DOHERTY FRIENDSHIP’
AMY WINEHOUSE has been ordered to end her friendship with "scumbag" rocker PETE DOHERTY by her father.
Mitch Winehouse is angry his daughter has sought comfort in the Babyshambles frontman while her husband Blake Fielder-Civil is being held on remand at London’s Pentonville Prison on charges of grievous bodily harm and perverting the course of justice.
And her worried father has ordered former drug addict Doherty to stay away from Winehouse as she battles her own addictions.
He says, "I do worry about her being around people like him. He’s a scumbag.
I flipped when I saw him sitting with Amy backstage at her Brixton (south London) gig.
"That night I went crazy. My wife thought I was going to have a heart attack.
I was apoplectic."
