QUENTIN TARANTINO is planning to help rescue LINDSAY LOHAN’s Hollywood career, by casting her in his next movie.
The Pulp Fiction director has become an expert at revamping fallen stars’ careers after helping Pam Grier, John Travolta and David Carradine.
And now he has his sights set of Mean Girls star Lohan, who has been a part of two of 2007’s biigest flops, Georgia Rule and I Know Who Killed Me.
Tarantino insists Lohan has what it takes to steal the screen in one of his films.
He says, "I could cast Lindsay in almost anything."

LINDSAY LOHAN stunned two Las Vegas radio presenters when she called their show on Friday (14Dec07) to win a pal hard-to-get MILEY CYRUS tickets.
Mix 94.1 DJs Mark and Mercedes offered up a pair of tickets for teen star Cyrus’ upcoming Hannah Montana show in Sin City to the listener who could get the most famous person to call in.
Rocker Slash and the former Six Million Dollar Man Lee Majors phoned the show - to win the tickets for friends - but the competition was over when Lohan called.
The gracious actress even agreed to stay on the line and chat with the presenters live on air.
She told the DJs that the Lindsay who begins 2008 is a very different girl to the one who started 2007 - a year which saw her in trouble with the law, behind bars and in and out of rehab.
She said, "I think that my life is different now and it’s changed and I’m growing up and it was time to grow up. I’ve gone through a lot and I’m just a different person now." And she revealed she has stopped looking at the tabloids, which follow her every move: "I don’t engage. I don’t read it, because that just kind of puts other thoughts in your head and it brings you down, so I don’t play into it."

Pop star JESSICA SIMPSON has been given a festive movie boost after learning her latest film will be released in cinemas in her native Texas before hitting DVD racks.
The film, Blonde Ambition, was heading for DVD obscurity, but film bosses at Nu Image and Millennium Films have decided to give the movie a limited Christmas run.
Now, the movie, in which Simpson stars alongside Luke Wilson, will hit eight Texas cinemas on 21 December (07).
A spokesman for the production company, Millennium Films, says, "The reason we chose Texas is the two stars are from Texas: Jessica Simpson and Luke Wilson." If the film is a success over Christmas, producers will consider releasing the movie in other states - before the DVD release.

Sports legends CHRIS EVERT and GREG NORMAN are to wed after going public about their engagement at a golf tournament in South Africa on Friday (14Dec07).
Evert told reporters the golf great proposed at the weekend (09Dec07).
But she said, "We don’t know when and where we’ll be married." Tennis ace Evert and Norman both split from their spouses in the past year.

WHOOPI GOLDBERG is well on course to get her Christmas wish - and quit smoking.
The Ghost star is down to two cigarettes a day with 10 days to go before Christmas Day (25Dec07).
She admits she knew it was time to dump her bad habit after seeing a hard-hitting TV commercial, in which kids appeared to be breathing second-hand smoke.
She says, "I saw this commercial where these little kids who were laying in the bed… and one of the kids breathes and the smoke comes out.
"Something about seeing those little kids exhale that smoke made me think, `OK, Whoop, maybe it’s time to stop.’" Now, Goldberg only has to control her book-buying obsession.
She adds, "I was addicted to books. I would go in and I would buy 20 books every time I passed the bookstore and then I realised I wasn’t reading any of them… I just wanted to buy them."

Cult 1981 movie CLASH OF THE TITANS is to be remade by LEAGUE OF EXTRAORDINARY GENTLEMEN director STEPHEN NORRINGTON from a script rewritten by movie mogul LAWRENCE KASDAN.
It’s the first time director/producer Kasdan has written a script since he penned the story for Star Wars sequel The Empire Strikes Back.
The original Clash of The Titans was directed by animation legend Ray Harryhausen.

The parents of young star DILLON FREASIER almost pulled the 10year-old out of DANIEL DAY-LEWIS’ new film after seeing his big screen father in GANGS OF NEW YORK.
Freasier’s former police officer mother had no idea who Day-Lewis was when her son won the part as his adopted son in There Will Be Blood - and decided to check the actor out on film.
The Irish actor’s aides rushed off a copy of The Age of Innocence to the family after hearing they’d picked the wrong movie to judge him by.
He says, "His mother wanted to do things right and she thought she’d better check out this bunch of people that were going to be taking care of her son.
"She said, `I’ll go rent a movie that fellow did.’ And she went and got Gangs of New York. She was absolutely appalled. She thought she was releasing her dear child into the hands of a monster.
"There was a flurry of phone calls, and somebody sent a copy of The Age of Innocence to her. Apparently that did the trick." Day-Lewis is thrilled Freasier landed the part of H.W. because he can’t imagine enjoying the company of another young star more.
He adds, "We were quite close, we had a nice friendship… He was just one step ahead of us, pretty much most of the time. His mom just raised him so beautifully."

24 star MARY LYNN RAJSKUB was once mistaken for a prostitute when she was an out-of-work actress in Los Angeles.
The comedienne, who plays Chloe in the hit drama series, had to flee after stumbling into an "audition" with a pimp, by accident.
She explains, "I was wandering aimlessly wearing ratty pyjama bottoms, a top, metallic wraparound sunglasses and a dirty lavender backpack.
"A girl wearing a tank top and short shorts stopped me and asked, `Are you looking for work?’ "I was, sort of. I had just finished a role in the Kirstie Alley sitcom Veronica’s Closet. `Come with me,’ said the girl.
"I followed her into a doughnut shop, where I was introduced to a man dressed in all black and chunky gold jewellery, and realised he was a pimp.
"’My name is Charles, but people call me Lawrence,’ he said, `We’re in the adult entertainment industry.’ "I said, `I’ll think about it,’ and ran out of the shop."

Movie mogul FRANCIS FORD COPPOLA almost quit Hollywood after the 9/11 terrorist attacks wrecked his plans to make MEGALOPOLIS in New York City.
The Godfather director had spent more than a year planning the ambitious project, when hi-jacked planes struck the World Trade Center’s Twin Towers and Coppola found the film impossible to finish.
He recalls, "To make a movie in which the central metaphor was New York City as a kind of a vision of Utopia, and then suddenly find that the world was going to be back in the same wasteful conflict…
"I tried to write my way out of it, but I never could.
"I really was brought to my knees. I was pretty creatively frustrated. It was hard time. I was feeling like, ‘Where is my place?’"

Country sensation TAYLOR SWIFT celebrated her 18th birthday on Thursday (13Dec07) by registering to vote - in her pyjamas.
The Grammy-nominated Tim McGraw singer admits it was the first thing she did when she woke up.
She reveals, "I did it online in my pyjamas." Swift also found time to celebrate her landmark birthday with pal Kellie Pickler and Big & Rich star John Rich.
At the Nashville, Tennessee party, the singer’s record label president presented her with a pink Chevy truck, according to People magazine.

MARIE OSMOND has her sights set on becoming a role model for washed-up women who give up on life after marriage break-ups.
Osmond, who is going through a divorce with estranged second husband Brian Blosil, admits she came close to letting the blues stop her life, but battled on.
Now, after appearing on reality TV show Dancing With The Stars and losing pounds (kilograms) in the process, Osmond admits she’s a great example of positive thinking.
She tells the upcoming issue of Ladies Home Journal, "The only way people can control you is if you let them. I’ve allowed that.
"(But) my life is not over. It’s just beginning, because I’m aware. There are so many women out there hurting.
"It’s in their faces and their eyes. Fifty per cent of women now are divorced and raising kids by themselves. I think about that and, you know, I don’t want them to give up." And, despite her two failed marriages, the 48-year-old insists she could wed again: "I am so not over men. I believe in marriage! "I was thinking about starting a new dating service for people who have eight or more kids. And then I was like, `Oh, look! I’m the only member!"

Country star CHRIS CAGLE has been charged with misdemeanour assault after allegedly punching a demanding fan’s boyfriend during a signing session after a concert on Wednesday night (12Dec07).
Cagle was meeting and greeting fans backstage after a benefit concert at the Cactus Moon Cafe, in Tucson, Arizona when one devotee started calling him names after he refused to keep on signing items for her.
CMT.com reports police found Cagle and the woman’s boyfriend fighting outside the club when they arrived on the scene.
Bystanders insist Cagle explained what had happened and cooperated with the authorities, but the woman’s boyfriend decided to press charges.
