CELINE DION’s A New Day show in Las Vegas will have grossed a whopping $400 million (GBP200) when the spectacular ends on Saturday night (15Dec07).
The Canadian began her residency at Caesar’s Palace venue the Colosseum four-and-a-half years ago (03), and has since performed 717 shows at the venue.
Dion now plans to concentrate on a world tour in 2008. Bette Midler will take her place at the Colosseum - she’ll perform 250 shows as part of a two-and-a-half-year run at the venue.

German actress DIANE KRUGER has spent so long speaking English, she’s losing her ability to speak her native tongue.
The 31-year-old has forged a career in English-speaking movies while living in the U.S. - and confesses she now struggles to hold down a conversation with her own family.
Kruger says, "More and more it is (become my first language). I’ve actually never done a movie in German. I would be a little worried about it I think.
"When I talk to my mom I speak in German. But I’m starting to have to really thing about the words I’m going to use."

The owner of a Los Angeles’ hotspot frequented by BRITNEY SPEARS and LINDSAY LOHAN has been plunged into a rape scandal.
In court papers filed on Thursday (13Dec07), 19-year-old SkyeAnne Smith claims she was plied with alcohol and then anally and vaginally raped by Les Deux boss Lonnie Moore.
Smith alleges the attack too place in August (07) after Moore was told by club co-owner Sylvain Bitton that the teenager was too young to party at the over-21s hang-out - a regular haunt of Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears.
Spears is such a fan of the club, she once reportedly offered to work behind the bar - for free.
In the court papers, obtained by TMZ.com, Smith says Moore led her to the club’s "manager’s lounge" and "forcibly penetrated" her before forcing the plaintiff to "conduct oral copulation on him." The suit claims Smith "verbally expressed her pain and said ‘no.’" She is suing the club for negligence, assault, battery, and sexual battery and is asking for damages in excess of $5 million (GBP2.5 million).

LATEST: KEVIN FEDERLINE’s lawyer has openly blasted BRITNEY SPEARS, claiming her no-show at a deposition earlier this week (11Dec07) could land her behind bars.
Mark Vincent Kaplan isn’t accepting Spears’ excuse she was too ill to attend the court-ordered child custody-related meeting at the attorney’s Los Angeles office - and urges her to behave more responsibly.
He says, "It’s not like the fourth grade where you get a doctor’s note and it’s all OK.
"If you don’t obey a court order, you can be held in contempt, but we’re not really interested in punishing her. We’re interested in getting facts and information that are inconsistent with her position or consistent with my client’s position." Though much of the custody battle remains unsure, Kaplan insists one thing that is decided is where Federline and Spears’ sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, will spend Christmas.
He adds, "Kevin would like the children to be able to experience Christmas, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day with both himself, as well as their mom, and arrangements have been made for a schedule we believe will accommodate them."

RATATOUILLE star WILL ARNETT has been confirmed as the voice of KITT in the new KNIGHT RIDER TV movie.
Arnett and The Office star Rainn Wilson were reportedly the front-runners to give the sportscar a voice, but the funnyman has been given the job.

Movie mogul SAUL ZAENTZ is suing studio executives at New Line, claiming they’ve refused to co-operate with his auditors as he attempts to discover if he’s owed cash from the LORD OF THE RINGS profits.
The legendary producer filed a new lawsuit in Los Angeles on Thursday (13Dec07) alleging New Line bosses have refused to make financial records available to investigators conducting an audit into profits from the film trilogy.
Zaentz first sued New Line in 2004, claiming he was owed $20 million (GBP10 million).
As part of the ongoing court proceedings, it was revealed that Zaentz had already collected almost $170 million (GBP85 million) from the Lord of The Rings profits.

British boy band TAKE THAT have vowed never to let former member ROBBIE WILLIAMS take his place in the group again.
The group, which reformed to much acclaim in 2005, was originally a five-piece before the Angels singer’s departure in 1995 to embark on a solo career. The remaining four members of Take That disbanded in 1996, but had to date refused to rule out the star’s return.
But Gary Barlow, Mark Owen, Jason Orange and Howard Donald now insist there is no longer a place for Williams in the band.
Barlow tells British magazine The Big Issue, "I think, when it comes down to it, he’s just not going to be in the band again." Owen adds Williams was ask to rejoin the band in 2005, but decided to "walk his dog" instead.
