A 10-minute clip of LED ZEPPELIN performing STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN in London on Monday night (10Dec07) was viewed by close to 500,000 on community website YouTube.com in the 24 hours following the reunion show.

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:18 pm

The U.K. leg of THE SPICE GIRLS comeback tour has been thrown into doubt, after EMMA BUNTON’s injured ankle forced the band to pull out of a TV performance.
The Wannabe hitmakers were due to appear on BBC reality show Strictly Come Dancing on Saturday (15Dec07) - ahead of their performance at London’s O2 Arena the same night - but they have cancelled their performance after Baby Spice fell onstage in Las Vegas on Tuesday (11Dec07) and twisted her ankle.
It’s unknown if Bunton will recover in time to perform on Saturday at the first of a string of British performances - the band’s homecoming, seven years after they split.
The five Spices arrived in London late on Thursday (13Dec07) and Bunton left Heathrow Airport in a wheelchair.
A source says, "It’s too soon to say if Emma will be fit enough to join the other four girls on Saturday. She will see a doctor tomorrow, who will assess the damage."

AMERICAN IDOL judge PAULA ABDUL once experienced theft at the hands of an obsessed fan - after a medical employee stole a sample of her urine.
The 45-year-old was shocked when her doctor asked her to provide a second urine sample - because the specimen she had previously provided was taken by a member of hospital staff.
She recalls, "Well, this is gross, but I was once at the gynaecologist and my doctor said, ‘We asked you to do a urine sample, so where is it?’ "I told him that I’d left it out in reception, and when he came back he said, ‘This is really embarrassing but a man who works here is your biggest fan and he stole it.’ Needless to say he got fired. In hindsight it’s a funny story."

Hollywood actor WILL SMITH is saving the environment - by using "paperless" toilets.
The self-confessed gadget geek has invested in several of the state-of-the-art contraptions from Japan, which cleverly eliminate the need for toilet paper by spraying the user’s bottom with blasts of air and water.
He explains, "It’s a gift from heaven, believe me
. People think it’s all about suction and that they’re going to have their insides removed by this marvel of modern engineering - but it doesn’t suck, it blows
. "Not everyone can handle this thing emotionally, so I’ve made sure I also have a few normal toilets in my house." (PAW/WNSMAS/CG) THE THINGS THEY SAY: "(He was) by my side the whole time

  • CLOONEY AND CHEADLE RECEIVE DARFUR AWARD

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:48 pm

Hollywood actors GEORGE CLOONEY and DON CHEADLE have been awarded for their work raising awareness about the genocide in Darfur.
The pair was honoured with the Peace Summit Award at the World Summit of Nobel Peace Prize Laureates in Rome, Italy on Thursday (13Dec07).
Clooney and Cheadle teamed up to stage Darfur benefits around the premieres for their movie Ocean’s 13 earlier this year (07). Clooney and his father also travelled to Darfur in 2006 to shoot a short film about the plight of refugees in. And Clooney insists more should be done to help the Western Sudanese region.
He says, "We have an American election coming so this is the time to put pressure on American candidates, because believe me none of these people want to talk about this issue.
"None of them want to deal with this issue, so right now is the time to place pressure on the people who can actually affect change because we can’t." The former ER star also took time to mention the case of British school teacher Gillian Gibbons, from Liverpool, England, who was arrested in Sudan last month (Nov07) for allowing her class to name a teddy bear after the Islamic prophet Mohammed.
He adds, "A young woman was threatened with forty lashes and six months in jail and it was on the front page of every newspaper for a week in England and America.
"I would suggest that every single human being living in Darfur right now would happily take forty lashes and six months in jail over the treatment that they’re getting. You hope that that kind of coverage would be handed out to everyone, not just one woman who happens to be white and from a Western country."

  • LOHAN’S PAL RONSON SUED BY LAWYERS

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:45 pm

LINDSAY LOHAN’s close friend SAMANTHA RONSON facing a court battle with her former lawyers for $165,000 (£82,500) in unpaid legal fees.
Law firm Davis & Gilbert allege they were never paid for helping her fight and lose a lawsuit against celebrity blogger Perez Hilton - after he accused her of being the owner of cocaine found in Lohan’s car following the actress’ car accident in Los Angeles in May (07).
The case was thrown out of court and the DJ - who is the sister of British music producer Mark Ronson - was ordered to pay Hilton’s legal fees.
Company partner Martin Garbus says Ronson, 30, "failed to return calls, missed appointments, and otherwise acted in an unprofessional manner, making the presentation of the case exceedingly difficult." Ronson has yet to answer to the lawsuit, but her attorney is seeking for the case to be transferred to federal court.

Former supermodel JANICE DICKINSON has confirmed she is addicted to cosmetic surgery.
The 53-year-old has spent $100,000 (£50,000) preserving her youthful looks but she has always denied being hooked on visits to the surgeon’s office.
But the former America’s Next Top Model judge now admits it’s an addiction.
She says, "Believe me, I’m a 900-year-old dinosaur and without 14 inches of make-up and 32 pounds of fake weave I wouldn’t look the way I do. I want to be the best-looking corpse there is.
"I’m honest about it, I haven’t got a problem with it. I borrow bits from everyone. Every six months I fly to Dallas to get Botox and I also get collagen injections. I’m addicted to cosmetic surgery."

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:45 pm

Scottish actor GERARD BUTLER is convinced his acting career has been hindered by his good looks.
The 300 star found success in Hollywood starring alongside Angelina Jolie in 2003’s Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life and Hilary Swank in new movie P.S. I Love You, but remains less well known in his native Britain.
And he insists being attractive disadvantaged him in the U.K. film industry.
He says, "It holds you back in Britain more than the U.S. In Britain if you look like a cross between a pig and a packet of biscuits you’re more likely to get a job. "But most of the f**ked up women I know are the beautiful ones. Often being good-looking causes you to think about being good-looking a little too much."

  • DAY LEWIS REJECTED SCHINDLER’S LIST ROLE

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:42 pm

DANIEL DAY LEWIS turned down the chance to star in SCHINDLER’S LIST after MARTIN SCORSESE lost the job of directing it to STEVEN SPIELBERG.
Although he had signed up to star in the 1993 film, Day Lewis was so enamoured with Scorsese, he walked away with him to make The Age of Innocence instead.
Spielberg’s movie went on to win seven Academy Awards and Neeson gained a nomination for his portrayal of Oskar Schindler - but Day Lewis has no regrets.
He says, "I thought that would be something very interesting to do. But then the project went to Spielberg. "When I met Martin I wanted to pick him up and cuddle him. He is a mighty man, and when he asks you to do something, you want to do it. I was struggling to escape from English drawing-rooms, but because of Martin, I accepted the role in The Age of Innocence."
