FEY WORRIES ABOUT HILTON’S INFLUENCE ON GIRLS

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:45 pm

Comedienne TINA FEY regrets slamming PARIS HILTON as "a piece of s**t" during a radio interview, but remains concerned by the influence the socialite has over a generation of teenage girls.
The 37-year-old was a guest on Howard Stern’s U.S. radio show in late 2006 when she took aim at Hilton, who had just hosted an episode of Fey’s former show Saturday Night Live.
Fey now admits her comments went too far - but she’s still appalled the hotel heiress is famous for behaviour such as emerging from a car wearing no underwear, starring in a leaked sex tape and a recent stint in jail for a probation violation.
Fey says, "I regret sinking to that level of discourse. But Paris is a terrible role model and a terrible young woman. She needs to be ignored.
"I work with people who have 12, 13, 14-year-old girls, who are fascinated by her. They look up to her, and that’s not great. You can buy videotapes in which you can see her bejanis (vagina)! "There’s a whole generation of girls in Hollywood who think that they can say stuff in the press and make it true. It’s not just Paris, a whole bunch of them do."

This one’s for my immune system, and this one is my BrainWave - it’s great, like if I have a lot of lines to memorise.
"I just took my most important ones, which are my Oz Garcia Longevity Pak. I shoved them in my mouth right before I met you, which I actually shouldn’t do, because I choked on my vitamins once before."

BLUNT IGNORES TABLOID ROMANCE REPORTS

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:45 pm

Singer JAMES BLUNT refuses to read tabloid newspapers - because he’s fed up with exaggerated reports of his supposed womanising.
The You’re Beautiful star split from supermodel girlfriend Petra Nemcova earlier this year (07) and has since been photographed with a succession of beauties.
But Blunt prefers to concentrate on his music, so chooses to ignore stories in the media about his private life.
He says, "Tabloids do their thing, don’t they? In a way, it’s probably worth not reading them. Musicians do music, actors act - their private lives are their private lives.
"I much prefer to involve myself in the art, the culture that we do rather the gossip of the world. We are kind of obsessed with it in the western world, it’s amazing to see."

CROWE BUILT CHAPEL AT HOME TO AVOID WEDDING TRIP TO ITALY

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:42 pm

RUSSELL CROWE built a Byzantine chapel on his sprawling Australian estate - so he wouldn’t have to go to Rome, Italy to get married.
The actor’s wife Danielle wanted a Roman wedding ceremony, but one look at the logistics of such an event turned Crowe off the idea.
And he appeased his wife-to-be by building her the chapel of her dreams on his land.
He says, "I needed to convince Danielle she didn’t have to travel to Rome to get married like she’d always dreamed of, because I saw all the paperwork involved.
"I built her a Byzantine chapel of her own. It is consecrated and everything.
"In the long term, it really isn’t extravagant at all. Because we don’t have to travel to Rome to see where we got married."

ROTH RETURNS THANKS TO COPPOLA AND WINSTONE

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:39 pm

TIM ROTH credits FRANCIS FORD COPPOLA and fellow Brit RAY WINSTONE with dragging him out of acting retirement and back onto the big screen.
The Pulp Fiction star walked away from his movie career after growing bored with acting.
But he returns in Coppola’s new movie Youth Without Youth - after the director inspired him.
Roth tells the New York Daily News, "I’m interested in acting again. I lost my interest for a long time. I got bored.
"I’d spoken to Ray Winstone about it. It happened to him. He gave up acting years and years ago. He quit and went back to work in whatever he was doing.
Then he got his buzz back. He swore to me I would too.
"And he was right. You just have to wait around long enough and then you’ll get it back."

EVA GREEN FEARS MAJOR CHURCH VS. STUDIO CLASH

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:39 pm

The producers of hit new family fantasy film THE GOLDEN COMPASS are heading for a huge clash with the Catholic church over future installments of the fantasy franchise, according to one of the movie’s stars.
The Catholic League of America called for a boycott of the first film - based on Philip Pullman’s novel - claiming it promotes atheism.
The story takes place in a fantasy world where the heroes battle against an evil organisation many have interpreted to be based on the Catholic Church.
And former Bond girl Eva Green, who stars in the film, insists more clashes between church and studio are to come.
She tells the New York Post, "The religion is quite diluted in the first one, but, as it goes on, I think they can’t really avoid it because that’s what it is - it’s all about God. So, good luck to the studio with Book 3."

UNION SICK OF SLAVE ROLES

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:36 pm

Sexy actress GABRIELLE UNION has started producing her own films because she’s sick of all the offers she gets to play black slaves.
The Bad Boys II star is convinced young moviegoers aren’t interested in another big screen lesson about the ills of slavery, and so she’s turning heads as a Hollywood go-getter.
She explains, "There was this script that came and it was yet another slavery story told from the perspective of the disgruntled Southerner, and I’m reading this script and thinking, ‘At what point did somebody think I would want to comb the Missus’ hair.’ "I don’t want to do this. It’s about being pro-active. I’m optioning a script (actress) Regina Hall wrote and I’ve optioned a book called The Vow.
"This is our hope for our future as people of colour in this industry - we are trying to get our own funding together. The 18 to 34-year-olds don’t care about race."

He says, "I haven’t worked with him since the last tour we did, which started in 2005.
"Let’s put it this way… he knows why and I know why, and I’m going to leave it at that." Meanwhile, Joel can’t believe news of his top secret Shea show has been leaked: "We’re talking with the New York Mets (baseball team) organisation.

LOVE/COBAIN’S DAUGHTER LEFT DISTURBED BY SUICIDE BIOPIC

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:30 pm

COURTNEY LOVE regrets allowing her daughter to watch JOY DIVISION star IAN CURTIS’ biopic CONTROL - because the film, about a rock star who commits suicide, echoed the death of the teenager’s father KURT COBAIN.
Frances Bean Cobain, 15, went to see the acclaimed new film at a London cinema with Sting’s daughter and returned an emotional wreck because the movie made her think about her father’s 1994 suicide.
Love says, "I wanted to show her that she could go out in London without a nanny or bodyguard, so they went by themselves. I wanted to get her a cake because it is the first time she has gone anywhere on her own." But the ex-Hole singer hadn’t given much thought to the contents of Control about the life of Joy Division frontman Ian Curtis, who hanged himself in 1980.
Love adds, "She came back so disturbed, because I forgot what the movie was about."
