HOLLYWOOD EXECUTIVES KILLED IN CAR CRASH
Two Hollywood production executives died in a car crash in Los Angeles on Saturday (08Dec07) when their vehicle was struck by an alleged drunk driver.
Sam Cassel, 28, and Rhiannon Meier, also 28, were killed instantly as Jose Luis Vargas careered into their car after reportedly running a red light on Sunset Boulevard.
Vargas, 31, escaped with only minor injuries and has now been charged on suspicion of murder and driving under the influence.
Cassel was a vice president at Scott Rudin Productions, while Meier was a vice president at Sony’s Red Wagon Productions, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
