Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:36 pm

BRITNEY SPEARS has been barred from exclusive Los Angeles club Winston’s after allegedly forcing a bartender to switch dresses with her at a Halloween party.
Club owners insist the Toxic troublemaker is no longer welcome at the venue because her saucy antics have upset regulars.
On 29 October (07) Spears reportedly insisted on switching Halloween costumes with a reluctant barmaid.
Friends tell America’s Life & Style magazine Spears loves hanging out at Winston’s because she’s smitten with manager Harold Karsenty, who is "a total stud".
One venue insider says, "Harold loved the attention at first, but after a while he got sick of it… Britney caused nothing but drama." The news of the ban has upset Spears fans who use Winston’s as a regular haunt. Stacey Kives tells Life & Style, "It was exciting when she was there.
The whole bar would revolve around her."

ANGRY HATCHER RESPONDS TO LAWSUIT

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:36 pm

LATEST: Actress TERI HATCHER has hit back at the bosses of a cosmetics firm suing her for breach of contract, insisting she complied with all their terms.
Legal papers, filed by executives at Hydroderm skincare in Los Angeles on Tuesday (04Dec07), claim the Desperate Housewives actress promoted other beauty items, despite the fact she was paid $2.4 million (£1.2 million) to solely advertise Hydroderm products.
And now angry Hatcher is responding to the suit insisting the allegations are "totally false and completely without merit".
She insists she’s the victim of the business deal because management changes at Hydroderm constantly left her unsure of the contract.
In a statement, the actress’ lawyer says, "Clearly, Hydroderm has embarked on this unjustified and public assault on Teri Hatcher’s good name, reputation and celebrity in a transparent and pathetic effort to distract from its own failure to live up to its end of the agreement.
"Ms. Hatcher will respond swiftly and decisively by appropriate legal means to recover everything she is owed under her contract, as well as compensatory and punitive damages for Hydroderm’s outrageous accusations."

ACTRESS PAGE HOPES FILM GETS TEEN PREGNANCY MESSAGE ACROSS

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:30 pm

The rising star of acclaimed new indie movie JUNO hopes the film will make anti-abortionists think twice.
Actress Ellen Page, who plays the pregnant title character in the offbeat comedy, insists the film pokes fun at family groups who want to stop young girls from correcting mistakes that leave them pregnant.
She says, "The funny thing is that groups that are anti-abortion are also anti the things that you need to prevent pregnancy.
"They just completely censor things and not talking about is the most illogical way of dealing.
"Hopefully a film like this, that’s way less judgmental and more democratic about the whole situation, allows a sense of openness that I wish more people had in regards to sex."

BLACK’S BARE BUTT LEAVES HIM UPSET

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:30 pm

JACK BLACK was left horrified by the sight of his own bare butt in new movie MARGOT AT THE WEDDING - because he didn’t realise how terrible it looked.
The chubby funnyman was reluctant to drop his pants for a scene in the film but producers won him over by telling him he had a lovely bum.
Then, when he actually sat to watch the film for the first time, he realised he’d have to work out before getting naked onscreen again.
He says, "I was shocked to see the film when I saw my rear. I thought it would be a bit more shapely.
"They lied to me to get me to do the scene. They said, ‘Oh, your ass, it’s mouth watering. Let’s get this on film before it’s too late!’ And I believed them.
"But it seemed like I had three asses somehow… My ass had double chins.
That’s not right.
"I’ve joined a gymnasium since the film. The next time you’ll see my ass it’ll be much more flattering."

BOLL UPSET ABOUT GERMAN RADIO CENSORSHIP

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:27 pm

Provocative radio ads for UWE BOLL’s new horror film POSTAL have been banned by stations in his native Germany - because he jokes profits from the movie will help to fund OSAMA BIN LADEN’s terrorism plans.
Radio bosses are afraid that listeners will take the satirical promotions in a literal context.
In one commercial an actor parodies Bin Laden and informs the audience that five per cent of the box-office receipts will be used to support Al-Qaeda.
But angry Boll has lashed out at the radio executives, alleging they think listeners are dumb.
He rages, "No German would be so naive and stupid as to believe that Bin Laden is talking in German via a German radio station.
"This is a huge scandal and definitely the wrong signal as this self-censorship only helps these religious fanatics gain control. Tolerance as well as art, freedom of speech and freedom of expression has always been one of the strong pillars of strong democracies." Boll is very disappointed that Germany repeatedly tries to self-censor controversial satire, afraid of violent reactions by Islamic protesters.
He adds, "In 2006 a German opera in Berlin stopped showing a hugely controversial version of Mozart’s Indomeneo because they were afraid of reactions by Islamic fanatics.
"This self-censorship caused an enormous commotion throughout Germany as many feared democratic principles and freedom of speech were undermined. And here it is again."

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:24 pm

Police are begging People For The Ethical Treatment Of Animals (PETA) activists not to reveal too much information about the launch of their newest ‘I’d Rather Go Naked…’ anti-fur poster campaign because they fear a New York "mob scene".
Sexy Eva Mendes is the stripped star in the new poster, which will be unveiled in Rockefeller Plaza at some point on Thursday (06Dec07), but city authorities have asked the organisers not to announce the time or exact place of the event.
The lovely Latina bares all in PETA’s hot new holiday ad campaign, and she’ll unveil it in person.
Shot by renowned photographer Don Flood, the saucy new poster will be erected all over Manhattan starting next week (beg10Dec07).
Mendes admits she was inspired to bare all for PETA by her beloved pet dog.
She says, "Killing a poor animal and wearing her fur isn’t cool. Respecting all life forms is cool." Mendes, who wears designs created by Stella McCartney in the new ad, joins a long list of celebrities who have starred in PETA’s iconic naked campaign, including Alicia Silverstone, Pamela Anderson and Christy Turlington.
