ROCKER GOMMANS SUFFERS MID-AIR SEIZURE
Dutch rocker SANDER GOMMANS is recovering after suffering a seizure on his way to a show in the Czech Republic on Friday (30Nov07).
The After Forever guitarist was taken to an Austrian hospital, where he spent the day and was then transferred to a medical facility in his native Holland.
In a website posting, Gommans says, "I had a seizure attack in the airplane.
No one knows exactly what it was at this point, but it was similar to an epileptic attack and was very scary.
"After that, I was taken to an Austrian hospital where I stayed for one day.
They did some research and told me to go to the hospital in Holland for more tests to find out exactly what the cause of the episode was. I’m back in Holland now." The rocker fears the episode is related to exhaustion. Doctors have advised him to take "absolute rest" for the foreseeable future.
