TIMBERLAKE FAMILY SAVES TENNESSEE GOLF COURSE

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 12:54 am

JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE’s family has saved a Tennessee golf course from being auctioned off after negotiating a deal with its owner.
Big Creek Golf Course in Millington, Tennessee was to be sold at auction this week (06Dec07), but the singer’s family stepped in just before the property was put on offer and purchased the land.
Lanier Hurdle, the owner of the 18-hole course, would not disclose the exact sale figure, but admitted it was "in excess" of the $750,000 (£375,000) minimum bid, reports TMZ.com.
Hurdle adds, "It was an offer we felt like we could take." A family spokesperson confirmed the purchase, commenting: "We intend to make some investments there and have it continue to be one of the top golf courses in the Memphis area. We’re excited about the plans. There will be more to come on it." The former ‘N Sync star, an avid golfer, will host the PGA Tour’s stop in Las Vegas next year (08).
