PARTON BRINGS READING CAMPAIGN TO BRITAIN

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 12:45 am

Country superstar DOLLY PARTON’s American campaign to encourage children to read is set to launch in Britain.
The scheme, which began in the singer’s native Tennessee and now runs in 45 U.S. states, aims to send a book to children every month until the age of five.
And now the first British Imagination Library will open in Rotherham, South Yorkshire on Wednesday (05Dec07).
The 61-year-old says, "My dream has been for every child to have a library of books that their parents can read to them from the moment they are born until they start school."
