ALLEN TO MOVE IN WITH BOYFRIEND

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 3:33 pm

Singer LILY ALLEN is set to move in with her boyfriend ED SIMONS of electronica duo THE CHEMICAL BROTHERS, after buying a $1.4 million (£700,000) mansion in north London.
The 22-year-old bought the house in Queen’s Park recently and intends to invite her partner of two months to come and live with her.
She says "I’m moving there in January. Ed and I haven’t discussed when he’ll move in yet, but we both know it will happen." And despite her plans to share the pad with the 37-year-old, the Smile hitmaker intends to decorate the home with her own personal touch.
She adds, "I want the house to reflect my personality, so I’ll be in total control of the interior design. Obviously, I won’t be doing any of the actual painting myself - I’ll be telling other people what to do."

SLATER: ‘DRUGS CAN BE SAFE’

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 3:33 pm

CHRISTIAN SLATER has provoked outrage by claiming hard drugs can be safe.
The former hellraiser, 38, has a well-documented history with drug abuse - in 1997, he completed a two-month stint in prison after punching his then-girlfriend, Michelle Jonas, while high on heroin in a Los Angeles club. He was charged with three counts of assault with a deadly weapon and one count of battery, but the felony charges were later dropped.
And although Slater has been clean for a number of years now, he maintains the danger of narcotics is over-hyped.
He tells Arena magazine, "The last time I had ecstasy was five years ago.
There’s no question that in proper quantities and the right manner, drugs are fine."

MILLS’ PORN PHOTOS UNEARTHED

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 3:30 pm

Explicit photographs of SIR PAUL McCARTNEY’s estranged wife HEATHER MILLS have been unearthed, contradicting her claims that she was never a porn star.
The full-frontal snaps show Mills posing on a bed in lacy red corset and stockings with her breasts exposed and her legs spread open to display her private parts. In the article accompanying the provocative shots, which featured in an X-rated magazine, Mills boasts: "I’m gonna drive you crazy with my body…" The images, taken before Mills lost her leg in road accident in 1993, will come as a blow to the animal rights campaigner, having recently hit out at the press for describing her glamour modelling past as a career in porn.
She ranted, "They (the media) eliminate the whole 20 years of my life campaigning and put in things like hardcore porn queen." But the latest expose will come as an embarrassment to Mills, as she has continually insisted she was just a topless model and did not participate an any porn photoshoots.

BECKHAM: ‘TRUE FANS PASS OUT WHEN THEY MEET ME’

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 3:30 pm

VICTORIA BECKHAM can recognise a "true fan" when she meets one - because her most dedicated followers fall unconscious.
The 33-year-old Spice Girl was mobbed by fans earlier this year (Sep07) when she arrived in Japan to promote a new line of cosmetics and encountered several devotees who proved their commitment by shedding tears upon meeting their idol.
In a video posting on her official website, she says, "It was amazing at the airport - there were lots of lovely Japanese people there to greet us. There were tears. I always like that, I think that it shows you are a true fan when you cry or when you pass out.
"When the paramedics are called I think that is a good sign - it shows real determination as a fan."

LOVE HEWITT HITS OUT AT BIKINI PHOTO CRITICISM

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 3:24 pm

Actress JENNIFER LOVE HEWITT has hit back at the media for criticising recent bikini photographs of her showing the star in a less than flattering light.
The newly-engaged Hewitt was snapped in her black two-piece swimsuit last week (ends30Nov07) as she enjoyed a dip in the sea - but the Ghost Whisperer star’s larger-than-usual bottom soon became the subject of ridicule on many celebrity blogs.
And the 28-year-old is angry at all the unwanted attention focused on her backside, because although she is happy with her figure, it puts young girls under more pressure over their weight.
In a post on her own website, she says, "I’ve sat by in silence for a long time now about the way women’s bodies are constantly scrutinized. To set the record straight, I’m not upset for me, but for all of the girls out there that are struggling with their body image… "Like all women out there should, I love my body." Hewitt announced her engagement to Scottish actor Ross McCall last week (28Nov07).

CHATSHOW HOST WILLIAMS APOLOGISES FOR ‘THREATENING’ OUTBURST

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 3:24 pm

American talkshow host MONTEL WILLIAMS has issued an apology to a group of reporters in Savannah, Georgia, after allegedly threatening to "blow them up".
Williams was promoting a programme giving free medical prescriptions to people with low incomes on Friday (30Nov07) when he objected to a journalist’s question and abruptly terminated the interview.
But he decided to confront a member of the reporter’s team when they later returned to the hotel for another assignment, approaching student intern Courtney Scott.
Scott’s colleague, Joseph Cosey, recalls, "As we were preparing to film, Montel walked up with his bodyguard and got in Courtney Scott’s face pointing his finger and telling her, ‘Don’t look at me like that. Do you know who I am? I’m a big star, and I can look you up, find where you live and blow you up.’ "At this time he was randomly pointing at all of us." Scott adds, "I’m not sure if he meant ‘blow me up’ and ruin my career or really blow us up, but it was threatening." But Williams has now apologised to Scott and her fellow journalists for "overreacting".
In a statement released on Saturday (01Dec07), Williams says, "I mistakenly thought the reporter and photographer in question were at the hotel to confront me about some earlier comments. I was wrong, and I apologize for my overreaction." The Montel Williams Show star became a patient advocate after he was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 1999.

Three of the four men charged with the murder of American football star SEAN TAYLOR have been ordered to remain in custody without bail.
Venjah Hunte, 20, Eric Rivera, 17 and 18-year-old Charles Wardlow appeared in a court in Fort Myers, Florida, on Saturday (01Dec07) for a preliminary hearing over the fatal shooting of Taylor, 24, last week (26Nov07).
The Washington Redskins player - who was dating actor Andy Garcia’s niece, Jackie - died on Monday from a bullet wound in the groin after being shot outside his Miami home. Police believe the attack took place after a robbery went wrong.
The fourth suspect, 19-year-old Jason Scott Mitchell, was not present in the state court on Saturday, but will face the same counts as his accomplices.
The men were arrested in the Fort Myers area on Friday (30Nov07) by Miami-Dade Police. Wardlow’s lawyer, John E. Evans III, says, "They are charged with first degree felony murder, home invasion and burglary." According to Evans, three of the suspects have given police statements which "appear to describe a situation where they were going to take physical items from his (Taylor’s) home and had no idea Mr. Taylor was at home."

OSBOURNES’ FAMILY AUCTION IS A BIG SUCCESS

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 3:18 pm

OZZY OSBOURNE and his manager/wife SHARON have raised $800,000 (£400,000) for charity after selling off a variety of their prized possessions in a Beverly Hills auction.
The two-day Osbournes sale saw fans travel from across the world to be at the Los Angeles auction, which took place at the Gibson Guitar Showroom on Friday (30Nov07) and Saturday (01Dec07).
According to auctioneer Darren Julien, the most popular items at the event were those which featured on the rock family’s reality TV show, The Osbournes, including Ozzy’s trademark wire-rim glasses, which went for $5,250 (£2,625), a coat embroidered with bats ($3,300/£1,650) and sneakers with a skull design ($2,625/£1,312).
A dog bed given to Sharon by celebrity friend Sir Elton John went under the hammer for $2,375 (£1,162), while the former Black Sabbath frontman’s oversized coffee mug sold for $1,625 (£812).
And a pool table the veteran rocker almost refused to donate eventually went for $11,250 (£5,625).
The auction was also an attraction for lovers of fine art - a sculpture by French artist Edouard Drouot raised $10,500 (£5,250) and a Gabriel Joseph Marie Augustin Ferrier painting went for $5,312 (£2,656).
Julien says of the auction, "We had Ozzy fans bidding against these sophisticated fine art buyers, which you don’t see every day.
"For the most part the metalheads were outbidding the art crowd." As WENN went to press, it was unclear how much the Yamaha Banshee quad bike Ozzy was riding when he crashed in 2003 sold for. The crash led to an extended hospital stay as the rocker allegedly fought for his life.
All proceeds from the charity sale will be donated to The Sharon Osbourne Colon Cancer Program at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
