TRUMP GOLF CLUB COUNCILLOR ASSAULTED
LATEST: A councillor who helped throw out DONALD TRUMP’s proposal for a $1 billion (£500 million) golf resort in Scotland has been attacked on her doorstep.
Debra Storr, a 47-year-old Aberdeenshire councillor, was terrified when a woman began shouting obscenities at her for voting against the U.S. tycoon’s plan. She was then pushed into by the unidentified abuser. The assault came a day after Trump’s proposals for "the best golf course in the world" were rejected on environmental grounds, leaving tourist-hungry local business leaders reeling.
Storr and six colleagues on Aberdeenshire Council’s infrastructure committee voted against Trump’s scheme to build two courses, a hotel, a golf academy and 1,500 homes at a site of special scientific interest near Balmedie, Aberdeenshire on Thursday (29Nov07).
Although Trump can appeal, he has threatened to build the course elsewhere.
Meanwhile, Aberdeenshire Council is trying to resurrect the plans. Leader Anne Robertson has called a meeting of all members to find a way to allow the Trump project to go ahead. The American Pie star will be the main attraction at the annual Hooker’s Ball, according to the Sydney Daily Telegraph.
And the racy flyer advertising the 21st annual event suggests revellers can expect "bondage beds, fantasy, latex, porn stars, erotic dancers…" Reid will be required to judge a wet T-shirt contest as part of her duties at the ball.
Event spokesman Guy Dunne insists the Aussie-loving actress was the perfect choice for the Hooker’s Ball: "It’s a very naughty night and an opportunity to put your inhibitions down. I believe Tara Reid and her people were very enthusiastic to come here." Reid is no stranger to flesh-baring scandal - a wardrobe malfunction at rapper Sean `Diddy’ Combs’ 35th birthday party in 2004 revealed one of the actress’ cosmetically enhanced breasts.
She didn’t realised she’s popped out until she asked photographers why they were snapping away ferociously. An aide pointed out the slip-up, leaving the red-faced actress a sobbing wreck.
