NICOLE KIDMAN has a bizarre relationship with her adopted children, and they don’t call her "mom".
The actress adopted 16 year old Isabella and 12 year old Connor with ex-husband Tom Cruise, but they spend most of their time with Cruise and his wife Katie Holmes.
And when they do spend time with Kidman, they address her by her first name.
The actress says, "My kids don’t call me mommy, they don’t even call me mom.
They call me Nicole, which I hate and tell them off for it." Kidman admits she and her husband Keith Urban are hoping to put less distance between them and her adopted son and daughter by househunting in Los Angeles.
She adds, "When children are teenagers, they have a say in where they want to be. Los Angeles is a big draw, and I’m looking to get a place there so we can share more."

R&B star USHER has an extra special reason to be thankful for the safe birth of his baby son - because it ends a year of drama for the singer. The Yeah! singer and his new wife Tameka Fosterwelcomed baby Usher into the world on Monday (26Nov07), and the pop star is now hoping for a peaceful family Christmas.
He tells Essence magazine, "Man, this has been a hard year, but it’s taught me courage. It’s taught me strength… It has taught me what it is to stand as a man, really." And Usher insists the hardships he and Foster had to endure before they wed, as America’s black media and jealous fans turned on them, will make any future marital issues easy to solve.
He adds, "Tameka and I have been fortunate enough to go through the thick of it in the beginning. We’ve had the opportunity to huddle up as a team, to make sure that we’re clear and speak as one voice."

BRITNEY SPEARS’ dancer pal SAM LUTFI has been subpoenaed to testify in the pop star’s ongoing custody battle with ex-husband KEVIN FEDERLINE.
Lutfi will be questioned when the couple and lawyers representing them resume their battle for sons Sean Preston and Jayden James in January (08).
Lutfi was reportedly supposed to appear in court on Friday (30Nov07), but his deposition has been rescheduled.
Federline’s attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, has confirmed that Spears’ dancer pal was served a subpoena calling for his attendance in court on Friday, but he "didn’t show".
Kaplan plans to seek a court order to ensure that Lutfi attends the January court session.

Berry’s beau Gabriel Aubry reveals Dr. Phil’s book Family First has proved invaluable.
He says, "(It’s a) great book. I recommend it." Aubry admits he has become a pregnancy scholar as he plans to become a first-time father: "I’ve been in preparation mode for five months… I’ve read a lot of books." TOM CRUISE’s moviemaking partner has confirmed the actor’s new studio heads are considering his first film for United Artists a box office flop.
Paula Wagner agrees political thriller Lions For Lambs "underperformed" even though the film was well hyped and features Cruise, Meryl Streep and Robert Redford, who also directed.
The movie took 10 days to make its first $10 million (GBP5 million) and is now struggling to gross $20 million (GBP10 million) in America.
Internationally, the film has fared better, taking in $27 million (13.5 million).
Studio executives at UA estimate the film will gross no more than $60 million (GBP30 million) internationally.
Wagner, who took over UA with Cruise after he was unceremoniously dumped by Paramount Pictures last year (06), says, "We do recognise that it hasn’t performed as well as we would have liked but we don’t regret making it.
"It was a Robert Redford film that was timely, relevant and engaging… It made perfect sense for it to be our first movie (at UA)." Despite the film’s lack of box office success, UA bosses stillhope to make money on the film, which cost just $35 million (GBP17.5 million) to make.

MANDY MOORE is keen to lock lips with British actress KATE WINSLET on the big screen - because the TITANIC actress is the only female Moore the pop star would share a love scene with.
Moore, who is fast becoming a big screen star herself after a string of acclaimed movies, is a longtime fan of Winslet’s, and would be thrilled to star in a film with her.
And she’d even consider a kissing scene - or more.

BEN AFFLECK’s actress wife JENNIFER GARNER is delighted the Broadway strike is over because she’s tired of getting attacked in the street by angry ticket holders to her show. The Daredevil star is making her Broadway debut in a revival of hit play Cyrano, opposite Kevin Kline, but was forced to leave the show for over a week when the stagehands dispute became a walk-out last week (begs19Nov07).
And theatre fans made her feel like she was to blame for the strike that upset their Thanksgiving week plans in New York.
She explains, "I am so happy that it’s over. It was devastating.
"We had just opened, audiences were having the best time and to just say, `OK, now we’re not doing it for the next couple of weeks,’ it was the strangest feeling.
"People would be waving their tickets in my face on the street, saying, `I came here to New York to see you do this play.’ I was like, `I wish I could do it for you right here.’"

LATEST: JULIA ROBERTS has gone public with her crusade to sweep the paparazzi off the street outside Los Angeles schools and churches as part of a TV rant.
The Pretty Woman star recently chased a photographer she spotted taking pictures outside a school and insisted he stop shooting innocent kids.
And now, just a week after pal George Clooney lashed out at snappers who drove recklessly in an effort to get shots of stars, Roberts addressed Los Angeles’ lawmakers on U.S. TV news show Access Hollywood.
She raged, "I think there needs to be some kind of line drawn in the sand…
I don’t think the magazines (and) the newspapers should show celebrities’ children.
"If you wanna take a picture of a person, then go to an adult place, go to the coffee shop, go to the grocery store, go to the restaurant; don’t stake out someone’s children’s church, school or playground environment." Roberts would like U.S. authorities to copy laws in place in parts of Europe, where photographs of children are not allowed to be printed in magazines and newspapers.
And she admits she felt completely justified in giving the snapper she spotted outside a Los Angeles school a hard time.
She adds, "I just told him that a school is not a place for a grown man to be crawling around trying to take pictures. (I said) he’s looking like a paedophile, so somebody’s gonna call the police on him and land him in jail."

ENTOURAGE star ADRIAN GRENIER turned the paparazzi who monitor his every move into a taxi service on Friday morning (30Nov07) after his car broke down on the way to visit a friend in hospital.

Little-known ARMIE HAMMER will suit up as BATMAN in the upcoming JUSTICE LEAGUE blockbuster after a year spent trying to find the next Caped Crusader.
When it quickly became apparent Batman Begins star Christian Bale would not be a part of the comicbook adaptation, producers started looking for another Batman.
In the meantime, they cast Teresa Palmer as Talia al Ghul, Adam Brody as The Flash and Common as The Green Lantern in the film.
Hammer, 21, has had bit parts in Desperate Housewives, Arrested Development and horse film Flicka.
Mad Max director George Miller will start work on the film in 2008.

PULP FICTION star ERIC STOLTZ and POWERS BOOTHE are set to howl at the moon in a new reworking of the classic werewolf movie genre.
Aussie producer/screenwriter Clint Morris has confirmed Stoltz will play the villain on the run from werewolf cop John Howl in his new movie HOWL.
Morris says, "It’s a homage to the classic werewolf movies… All the characters, locations and events in the film are nods to past werewolf movies.
"It’s terribly tongue-in-cheek… we hope you’ll laugh. Think Scream without (director) Wes Craven."

The Miss Universe Organization has been rocked by another scandal less than a year after a former Miss USA checked into rehab to tackle her problems with alcohol.
It has emerged that Christina Silva was wrongly crowned the queen of last weekend’s (25Nov07) Miss California USA Pageant thanks to an accounting error.
Raquel Beezley was actually named Miss California USA 2008, but sources claim the judges actually chose the 2nd runner-up, Silva, as the winner by mistake.
Beezley and Silva have been made aware of the error, as was pageant owner Donald Trump, according to U.S. TV news show Extra. Beezley has since relinquished her crown.
A spokesman for the Miss Universe Organization says, "This matter is being handled… Christina Silva, who was crowned Miss California USA 2008 relinquished her crown to the real winner, Raquel Beezley, after it was discovered that an accounting error resulted in her incorrectly winning the prestigious title." Property tycoon-turned-reality TV star Trump was forced to step in and solve last year’s pageant scandal, when the inappropriate behaviour of reigning Miss USA Tara Conner prompted critics to demand she be relieved of her duties.
Trump offered Conner a chance to redeem herself by checking into rehab, which the sobbing beauty queen agreed to do during a much-publicised press conference last December (06).

Actress LORRAINE BRACCO is tired of THE SOPRANOS fans blaming her for the end of the hit mob show.
Bracco, who played therapist Dr. Jennifer Melfi in the longrunning series, admits she’s often stopped in the street by upset fans who can’t believe their favourite show is no more.

A man with a bomb strapped to his chest who sparked a hostage crisis at former U.S. First Lady HILLARY CLINTON’s presidential campaign headquarters in Rochester, New Hampshire has surrendered to police.
A young mum, carrying her baby, raised the alarm on Friday lunchtime (30Nov07) after the crazed man, Leeland Eisenberg, allowed her to walk free from the scene.
Police and hostage negotiators quickly arrived and the stores close to Clinton’s campaign base were evacuated, along with the local headquarters of fellow presidential hopefuls Barack Obama and John Edwards.
Eisenberg reportedly targeted Clinton’s offices because he wanted to speak directly with the former First Lady.
Clinton, who was campaigning in Washington, D.C., cancelled her Democratic National Committee event after hearing of the hostage situation.
The potential bomber’s son-in-law told reporters Eisenberg had been drinking before entering the Clinton campaign headquarters and he "wanted to be hospitalised".
After releasing five hostages, Eisenberg, wearing a shirt and tie, stepped out of the campaign headquarters, unstrapped the bomb from his body and, with his arms raised, surrendered to the authorities. He was arrested and taken into custody.
Hillary Clinton later made a statement about the incident. After paying tribute to her "brave" supporters involved in the hostage stand-off, she said, "This has been a very hard day for all of us in our campaign… I’m relieved to have this situation end so peacfully without anyone being injured."

Legendary stuntman EVEL KNIEVEL has died just two days after settling an ongoing legal dispute with rapper KANYE WEST. He was 69.
The motorcycling icon, whose glittering white suit and risky bus and canyon jumping feats turned him into a household name around the world in the 1970s, has been in poor health for years following a liver transplant in 1999.
He spent the last decade battling diabetes and pulmonary fibrosis.
Knievel’s bike-jumping successes were overshadowed by his failures - he hit the headlines after failing to clear Snake River Canyon in Wyoming on a rocket-powered cycle in 1974, and broke 40 bones when he spectacularly crashed during a stunt at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas.
The stuntman, real name Robert Craig Knievel, retired in 1980 but continued to make a good living protecting his image and endorsing a range of products.
He also maintained an annual Evel Knievel Days festival in Montana, which attracted thousands of fans from around the world.
He recently hit the headlines again after launching a lawsuit against rapper West, claiming the Gold Digger hitmaker had infringed upon his trademarked image by posing as a white-suited stuntman, called Evel Kanyevel in his 2005 music video Touch The Sky.
The late stuntman and the rapper settled their legal dispute out of court earlier this week (begs26Nov07).

LIAM GALLAGHER chose to pursue a music career after a teenage out-of-body experience involving JOHN LENNON.
The rocker is one of Lennon’s biggest fans, and has a son named after the late Beatle.
He tells Spinner.com, "I wouldn’t say that he visits me (but) I had an out-of-body experience (with him) when I was about 17 or 16, and, as far as I’m concerned, that’s when I started getting into music. "That’s when it all started going down, andI reckon it has something to do with him. He don’t come and visit me - at least, I don’t think he does. I wish he did."
