Tube joke backfires

Posted in: Bizzare Stories — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 6:02 pm

The British woman who makes the announcements on the London Underground has been sacked for mocking the Tube system.
Emma Clarke - who warns passengers to "mind the gap" - posted spoof announcements on her own website in which she descried the system as "dreadful" and made fun of American tourists, pervert men, and sweaty commuters.
Emma, of Altrincham, Cheshire, said: "It was just a bit of a laugh." However, her bosses did not agree and terminated her contract.
A spokesperson said: "We’re sorry to announce further contracts for Ms Clarke are experiencing severe delays.
"It’s not because of the spoof announcements. It’s because she has criticised the underground system."
