DUTT RELEASED FROM JAIL
LATEST: Bollywood bad boy SANJAY DUTT has been released from jail after he was granted bail earlier this week (begs26Nov07).
The actor - released on Thursday (29Nov07) - has been in prison since 23 October (07), after he was sentenced to six years in jail for his involvement in the 1993 bombings in India. He was imprisoned for illegal possession of weapons linked to the bombings in Mumbai.
Hundreds of fans gathered outside the jail in Pune, India to see the star escorted from the building by a security guard. He was taken to a waiting car and was expected to fly to his home in Mumbai.
Dutt was granted bail against a monetary deposit and was ordered to surrender his passport.
Over 100 people have been convicted in connection with the Mumbai blasts, which killed 257 people.
