ALLEN DENIES RETIREMENT RUMOURS
LATEST: British pop star LILY ALLEN has denied reports she is to quit the music business and insists the public shouldn’t believe everything she says.
The 22-year-old recently vowed that her next album - the follow-up to her 2006 debut Alright, Still - would be her last as she is desperate to lead a normal life.
Allen now claims her remarks were untrue, and was joking when she confessed: "It’s a great job but it doesn’t leave time for what’s important - like having a family
. "I’m going to do one more album." But the Smile hitmaker is confident she has a long career in the music industry ahead of her and has urged the media not to take her comments too seriously.
She says, "Of course I’m not going to retire
. I talk this crap all the time and they (the press) all know it, so how come this time they didn’t get it? Silly people
. "I am having the best time of my life."
