SPICE GIRL MELANIE BROWN is convinced her daughter PHOENIX CHI will follow in her footsteps, because the eight-year-old has inherited her mother’s dancing moves.
The singer was thrilled to watch Phoenix dance along while she shot U.S. TV show Dancing With The Stars, and she is sure the youngster is destined for the stage herself.
Brown, who finished runner-up on the show on Tuesday night (27Nov07), says, "She loves Dancing With The Stars. Maks (dance partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy) has been teaching her little routines.
"She’s learning routines at the Spice Girls rehearsals too, She’s got the dance fever."

Mum-to-be JENNIFER LOPEZ has pulled out of a performance at Sunday’s (02Dec07) Movies Rock concert at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood.
The pregnant singer was initially scheduled to perform and present at the glitzy event, which is being held to celebrate music at the movies - but she’s not taking any chances onstage.
Her performance pull-out comes less than a month after Lopez and her husband Marc Anthony scrapped a rescheduled show from the end of their U.S. tour, citing scheduling conflicts.
After months of speculation, Lopez confirmed her pregnancy last month (Oct07) after stage costumes failed to hide her growing baby bulge - and designer Roberto Cavalli let it slip that his muse’s condition was causing him problems.
Lopez was one of many performers, including Beyonce, Carrie Underwood, Chris Brown and Sir Elton John, billed to hit the stage at the Movies Rock event.

LATEST: PARIS HILTON has personally distanced herself from ridiculous stories she has been looking out for drunk elephants.
British tabloid the Daily Star quoted the socialite when she reportedly spoke out about a little-known elephant problem in India during a recent promotional visit to Asia.
The publication claimed Hilton was spearheading a campaign to stop a herd of elephants killing themselves - after bingeing on alcohol.
In the story, which ran earlier this month (Nov07), the hotel heiress was quoted as saying she was horrified to discover 40 of the animals were electrocuted after drinking rice-beer, which is brewed by locals in north-east India.
She reportedly said, "There would have been more casualties if the villagers hadn’t chased them away. And four elephants died in a similar way three years ago. It is just so sad." But now Hilton is speaking out about the story, insisting the quotes were made up and she has no knowlegde of drunk elephants.
Appearing on Wednesday’s (28Nov07) Ellen show in America, she chuckled, "I read that and I was like, `How would an elephant get alcohol in the first place? Why would I talk about that? Why would I care if an elephant got drunk? Can an elephant get drunk?’ I’ve never talked about that in my life. I didn’t even know an elephant could get drunk." Hilton insists the story, which became an international scoop, is just the latest in a long line of stories made up about her.
She adds, "They always put words in my mouth all over the press all the time.
"I just laugh at them now. It’s literally comedy every morning; we wake up reading these stories… My friends will send them on a BlackBerry to me and we’ll just laugh."

BRITNEY SPEARS’ day-long video shoot turned into an all-nighter on Tuesday (27Nov07) because the pop superstar spent the day looking after her kids - and forgot to tell the production team.
The Toxic singer was supposed to start work on the promo at Los Angeles’ Social club early on Tuesday, but didn’t appear until late in the evening.
A set source says, "She finally arrives at 9pm without the kids. The original call time for her was noon." But Spears quickly made amends, working hard with her dancers.
The insider adds, "The people involved do not seem too bummed. They’re all oddly upbeat." The shoot wrapped at 8am on Wednesday (28Nov07).

The Mean Girls actress’ father, Michael, has revealed Lohan is hoping to revisit her career as a pop singer, and she’s asked 50 Cent to give her music an edge.
He tells America’s Life & Style magazine, "They’re talking about working together. Nothing’s firm yet, but they’re in talks." Michael insists that although the match-up might seem odd to many, his daughter and 50 have become good friends.
He adds, "They’ve actually known each other for a while, just from being in the business together and crossing paths at events." Lohan’s first two albums, Speak and A Little More Personal, were minor successes. Insiders suggest the actress plans to call her third album Nobody’s Angel.

The Mummy: Tomb of The Dragon Emperor will hit screens in China on 24 July (08) - a week before the film is released in America.

The professional dancer who led racing driver HELIO CASTRONEVES to victory on U.S. reality contest DANCING WITH THE STARS on Tuesday (27Nov07) has landed her own record deal.

Christmas has come early for JOSH GROBAN - his festive album NOEL has hit the top of the U.S. charts seven weeks after its release.
The album jumped up a spot from two to one, selling a stunning 405,000 copies, which insiders claim was sparked by a surprise appearance on a recent Oprah show.
Noel becomes the first Christmas-themed album to hit number one on the Billboard chart since Kenny G’s Miracles in 1994.
The feat also marks Groban’s best sales week on the chart.

WYCLEF JEAN is begging the mother of his former FUGEES bandmate LAURYN HILL to force the singer into rehab.
Jean recently (Nov07) dismissed reports the Fugees are recording a new album, insisting Hill is too "out of control" to work with.
He said, "I believe she’s completely out of control and has lost touch with reality. Lauryn has some serious issues she needs to address. This difficult side of her has taken over and it’s about time someone called her on it." And the 35-year-old is now making claims the singer is bipolar, and he’s blaming her ego for turning her into a monster.
But he tells Rolling Stone magazine, "You can’t get angry with someone who’s sick." So, Wyclef is calling on Hill’s family to force her to seek psychiatric help or counselling.
He adds, "I even called her mum and I stressed to her, `Yo, you need to get her psychiatric help.’ "But I think they all fear for her to death. She wasn’t always like this but if someone has the ego, and you keep feeding the ego, it’s going to turn monstrous."

SEAN PENN and MICHAEL MOORE picked up the big prizes at Tuesday’s (27Nov07) 17th annual Gotham Awards in New York.
Penn’s Into The Wild won best feature and Moore’s Sicko - an expose of U.S.
healthcare - was awarded best documentary at a ceremony at Brooklyn’s Steiner Studios.
The ceremony - which celebrates low-budget and art house films - is held annually by non-profit organisation the Independent Feature Project.
Elsewhere, Before The Devil Knows You’re Dead - starring Ethan Hawke and Philip Seymour Hoffman, and Talk to Me, starring Don Cheadle, were joint winners in the Best Ensemble Cast category.

AMY WINEHOUSE’s father has apologised to fans on behalf of his troubled daughter for cancelling the remainder of her U.K. tour, insisting the decision "is in her best interests".
