MADONNA’S DYED SHEEP SPARKS ANIMAL RIGHTS ROW

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:54 am

MADONNA has been branded "irresponsible" by animal rights groups after dying a group of sheep different colours for a photoshoot.
The pop superstar had the animals’ coats coloured blue, pink, yellow and green for an appearance in Vogue magazine’s celebrity homes book, and the images have infuriated British animal rights charity the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) - which has warned the shoot could spark copycat incidents.
An RSPCA spokesman says, "Why is it necessary and what are they trying to prove? It sends out the wrong message about how to use animals. Even if they dye is safe for the animals, others might copy it with an unsafe dye." Madonna and her film director husband Guy Ritchie insist the pictures were a tribute to famous photographer Cecil Beaton who once lived in the Wiltshire, England, estate now owned by the couple.
The photoshoot will appear in a new book entitled Vogue Living: Houses, Gardens, People which profiles 36 celebrity homes.
