DALY RETURNS AMID WRITERS STRIKE

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:12 pm

Former MTV favourite CARSON DALY is set to become the first late night chat show host in America to defy the ongoing writers strike and resume production of his LAST CALL programme.
Daly, who is not a member of the Writers Guild union, will begin taping new episodes of his show later this week (ends30Nov07). They’ll air next week (beg03Dec07).
The show joined all the other late-night shows which went dark and stopped production when the writers came out on strike on 5 November (07).
Contract talks between studio executives, producers and the writers union officials resumed on Monday (26Nov07).
The striking writers are seeking more royalty money for material distributed over the Internet.
