THE SPICE GIRLS have disappointed fans in South America - by cancelling their only date on the continent.
The band were due to appear in Buenos Aires, Argentina on 24 January (08), but have pulled the gig after letting dates in the U.K. and the U.S take priority - citing the extension of their tour for the cancellation.
The Spice Girls’ comeback tour was originally planned to span 11 dates worldwide, but the group is now scheduled for over 40 dates across the globe.
Writing in an email to fans who registered for tickets to the Argentina show, the girls wrote, "As you know, the demand for our concert tickets in the USA and the UK has been really overwhelming. So, in order to meet that demand, it’s not possible for us to keep extending the tour because of our solo projects and family obligations.
"That means we are unable to hold a concert in Buenos Aires, Argentina. We’re incredibly sorry for the delay in making this announcement, but we have been really trying to fit this date in our schedule." However, the girls have offered their South American fans a treat - by running a competition to fly them to one of their London dates.
The Spice Girls kick off their world tour in Vancouver, Canada, on 2 December (07).
