BLUNT’S STAMMER CURED BY ACTING
THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA star EMILY BLUNT cured her "disabling" speech impediment by taking up acting.
The 24-year-old suffered from a stammer when she was younger and blames her speech problems for her lack of self-confidence at school.
But she’s pleased she finally managed to overcome the problem.
She says, "I had a stammer, which was hard, but I used to act in school plays to help me escape from what I saw as a disabling difficulty.
"Really, I think I retreated into myself a bit as not to stand out."
