AUSTRIAN NETWORK SNUBS EUROVISION CONTEST
An Austrian TV network has pulled out of the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest because it believes the results are rigged.
The country’s state broadcaster ORF fears there is a political agenda behind the judging of the original musical Eurovision contest and has refused to air the show next May (08).
A spokesperson for the station says they were "not prepared to send further talents to participate in a hopeless cause while the sing contest remains an arena for politic manoeuvring".
