FEDERLINE’S LAWYER URGES SPEARS TO BE A STAY-AT-HOME MUM

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:39 pm

KEVIN FEDERLINE’s lawyer has suggested the rapper’s ex, BRITNEY SPEARS, stop taking their kids out in public - if she wants to avoid upsetting his client.
Attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan admits his recent emergency court hearing requests, which have stripped Spears of custody rights in recent weeks, came about after he and Federline saw footage of the pop star acting erratically with her young sons.
The most recent film that upset the lawyer and his client featured Spears running a red light with her kids in the backseat.
Kaplan says, "No one feels good about anyone running a red light. The unfortunate thing is when that kind of overwhelming presence of paparazzi happens with some frequency, people tend to make judgment calls which may or may not be the best.
"I think the best idea is to do whatever one can to avoid the opportunity for that to occur.
"My client (Federline) takes great means to not having the children with him in public and having paparazzi surround him."

CLOONEY STANDS UP FOR SPEARS

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:39 pm

GEORGE CLOONEY has defended troubled singer BRITNEY SPEARS for recently running a red light - blaming her erratic driving on the overzealous paparazzi chasing her.
Clooney claims Spears was distracted by the photographers surrounding her car, adding he thinks it’s unlikely she would have driven through the red traffic signal otherwise.
He tells U.S. TV show Entertainment Tonight, "You look at the footage of Britney running the red light - there’s eight guys with cameras at night in the middle of the street.
"There are no rules now. It’s getting to a point where people that are not involved are getting hurt." On Monday (19Nov07), a videotape of Clooney angrily confronting two photographers for driving dangerously surfaced online.

BLAIR & KATIC PREPARED FOR SEX SCENE WITH KISSING MARATHON

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:36 pm

Actresses SELMA BLAIR and STANA KATIC staged a marathon same-sex kiss-off to prepare for their lesbian love scene in new movie FEAST OF LOVE.
The two heterosexuals were initially nervous about the awkward scene, but prepared for it by kissing each other in private.
Heroes star Katic says, "We rehearsed our love scene quite a bit in a private room together. We both looked at the bed, looked at each other and walked into the room and went at it." And the kissing connection, though very pleasant, made the 29-year-old Canadian realise she has no lesbian fantasy.
She adds, "As a kisser, I would say Selma was very titillating. It was my first time kissing a woman and I had a great time with her. But I reconfirmed to myself that I’m 100 per cent heterosexual." It’s not the first time Blair has shared a same-sex kiss on the big screen she locked lips with Sarah Michelle Gellar in 1999 movie Cruel Intentions.

TAYLOR CALLS FOR STRIKING WRITERS TO TAKE A NIGHT OFF

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:30 pm

ELIZABETH TAYLOR is convinced she can end the Hollywood writer’s strike because protestors wouldn’t dare hold up her AIDS benefit performance of A.R.
GURNEY’s play LOVE LETTERS next month (Dec07).
Taylor insists striking TV and film writers will put down their picket signs on the Paramount Pictures lot as a mark of respect to the aged actress.
But the 75-year-old star says she won’t cross picket lines if they are still up around the Paramount lot.
She wants protestors to put down their placards for one night, so that she and her celebrity friends can raise money for AIDS research with a clear conscience on 1 December (07), World Aids Day.
In a statement, Taylor says, "The Writers Guild Of America has shown great humanity, empathy and courage by allowing our little evening to move forward." But she insists she’s thoroughly behind the striking writers: "Without the gifts of writers, the world would be rather empty. I beseech those in power to treat members of the Writers Guild Of America with fairness and decency." Writers and studios are scheduled to resume contract talks next week (26Nov07). The strike began on 5 November (07).
Taylor and James Earl Jones will appear in the charity performance of Love Letters.

DOCTOR SPEAKS OUT ABOUT DEATH OF WEST’S MOTHER

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:27 pm

The plastic surgeon who operated on KANYE WEST’s mother the day before she died claims she most likely passed away from either a heart attack, embolism or accidental overdose.
West’s mum Donda died in hospital on 10 November (07) following possible complications from a tummy tuck and breast reduction operation Dr. Jan Adams carried out the day before (09Nov07).
And while Adams believes he knows the exact reason for Donda’s passing, he is refusing to elaborate on this until a coroner confirms the official cause of death.
Adams tells the Los Angeles Times newspaper, "I believe I know exactly what happened to her, but I will not comment on it until I see the final report." The surgeon adds that Donda "probably (had) a rough night" after the operation and that she could have overdosed on Vicodin he prescribed her to treat post-procedure pain.
Adams then told the newspaper that he wasn’t commenting on Donda’s case specifically, and was instead thinking of a patient who had had similar problems.
He has previously denied any responsibility for her death, insisting he has "done nothing wrong".
