KIDMAN: ‘I LOST TWO BABIES’
NICOLE KIDMAN is ready to shock the world again - by revealing she suffered two miscarriages during her nine year marriage to TOM CRUISE.
The actress recently confirmed reports the couple lost one child and now she’s going further in her revelations in a new interview with style magazine Marie Claire.
Vanity Fair previously reported earlier this year (07) that she suffered a miscarriage at the age of 23, and that the tragedy prompted her and Cruise to adopt a girl and a boy.
But Kidman claims this account is untrue and the magazine misquoted her.
In the upcoming issue of Marie Claire, she reveals, "I had a miscarriage at the end of my marriage - but I had an ectopic pregnancy at the beginning of my marriage. It was incredibly traumatic for me." An ectopic pregnancy occurs when an embryo starts to develop in a fallopian tube instead of in the womb. Vanity Fair reported this as a miscarriage, but Kidman, now 40, makes clear the miscarriage came at the end of her marriage, shortly before Cruise filed for divorce in 2001.
