DAUGHTRY CLAIM AMA’S FIRST PRIZE
Rockers DAUGHTRY claimed the American Music Awards first big prize at the new Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday night (18Nov07).
Fronted by American Idol star Chris Daughtry, the band beat Plain White Ts and Robin Thicke for the night’s Breakthrough Artist honour.
Daughtry picked up the award from former Idol winner Carrie Underwood, who scooped the same prize last year (06).
