BROADWAY TALKS FAIL TO END STRIKE
LATEST: Talks to resolve the crippling Broadway strike ended on Sunday (18Nov07) night with no agreement in place.
Stagehands and producers were locked in discussions in New York all weekend (17-18Nov07) in a bid to get shows including The Lion King, Chicago and Mamma Mia back up and running time for the Thanksgiving Day weekend (22-25Nov07) one of the theatre district’s busiest times.
No further talks are currently scheduled.
More than 25 plays and musicals have been cancelled due to the mass walkout by disgruntled stagehands that began on 10 November (07).
