MADONNA TO HOST FASHION PARTY FOR MALAWI CHARITIES
Pop superstar MADONNA is to host a star-studded fashion party in New York to raise money for Malawian orphans. The event will take place at Gucci’s Fifth Avenue store in New York and will benefit charities Unicef and Raising Malawi - the organisation the star co-founded in 2006.
Madonna has been keen to highlight the plight of children in the impoverished nation since she and her husband Guy Ritchie adopted their son David Banda from a Malawian orphanage last year (06).
Actors Demi Moore, Ashton Kutcher, Gwyneth Paltrow and Salma Hayek are all expected to attend the event which will be held on 6 February 2008.
